Ha! Well over here I'm busy selling my soul (and some Heady ) for Shogun, so if you wanna make a trade for the rest of yours, lemme know!!

Ps. You try Sun Block yet? Not sure you'll like, but worth a try. Also, do you homebrew??

Hop Dog Double Wheat IPA if you can find it. My sister brought me back a couple from her trip to Alaska and I thought it was great.

I only got 1 in trade...Although I consider myself an excellent cook and think I would enjoy home brewing I'm afraid it would seriously interfere with my other obsessIon (golf). Looking to get some Sun Block....Hear it awesome.

The only reason I mention it is because you could just brew a Gumball clone.. :sunglasses:

(You know, to enjoy on the golf course.)

Those are easily my top 2.

Honorable mention to Sam Adams whitewater IPA which is suprisingly good fresh.

I love a fresh Sumpin Sumpin, but Akari Shogun...holy cow. It's my favorite beer right now. An exquisite beer IMO.

Gumballhead a wheat IPA? Seriously? You put hops in anything these days and people think it's an IPA.

I believe it's actually an "American Pale Wheat Ale," if that helps..

It's the quintessential example of the modern American Wheat Ale: clean yeast, pale bready malt flavors, and a generous hop aroma but balanced, moderate bitterness.

I'm sorry for the pithy sarcasm, but it seems like many people are jumping on the hops=IPA thing. If you can smell hops it must be an IPA, all other attributes be damned. Many brewers aren't helping this either.

Now Little Sumpin Sumpin, that's an IPA. If they didn't say it had a high proportion of wheat in the mash, no one would ever guess. It tastes and looks exactly like an American IPA.

Love wheat ipas. Best I've had is Fortunate Islands by Modern Times in San Diego. They just started up but could be canning soon. Gumballhead is a very close second though.

Flying Fish's FU Sandy is pretty solid. Lagunitas' Sumpin Sumpin is my favourite hoppy Wheat Ale, but FU Sandy was also very enjoyable. Unfortunately, they have thus far only bottled it once (1000cs of 750s). I'd like to see them do either 6pks for 4pks of it a few times/year in small batches.
I haven't had Gumballhead or Akari Shogun, but they sound good.
