Heading through the Chicago area now, any locations that might have Citra left? Thanks!

What's the story with sloppy seconds. Did I manage to miss that?

Pretty sure it hasn't as there wasn't a big announcement here.

Trying to not read into it too much, but last mention was the possibility of a brewpub, and here you refer back to a bottle shop. Did things not go as hoped?

Well I didn't really see anyone else comment on my post about it, so maybe I'm the only one here who appreciates the aesthetic wax on select bottles. *shrug*

i personally rely on my strong kegel muscles

I saw some of these portas at the naper ale fest. foot pump action sinks...? Thing of beauty. Though something about 'clean' water storage so close to urine storage was slightly bothersome.

    Anyways, any time-frame on SS?

    August 11, 2013 Update

This week we have two oldies but goodies.

Raspberry Truffle Abduction returns. This Russian imperial stout is jam packed with flavor thanks to the cacao nibs, vanilla bean and 200lbs of Seedling Farms raspberries we use in each batch. $12.99, 750ml, 10.5% ABV

That one horned wonder, Ninja vs Unicorn, bounds back into our lives this week. We may or may not have snuck some Simcoe into the dry hopping of this menace to hop society. (We did.) $8.99, 22oz, 8.5%ABV

Both are available for pickup immediately at Binny's Lincoln Park and West Lakeview Liquors.

Our tests came back fine. However, thanks to a diligent friend of the brewery we think we've identified a QC issue. We'll elaborate later.

Picked up the brand new RTA & NvU at Binny's River North thanks to a business seminar a block away. Which means I can officially cellar my bottle of first batch RTA & see what happens.

We have 2 batches of Abduction going during August that will become Cherry Truffle... but if we have an issue with sourcing cherries we'll make them Orange... and then after that regardless Orange would be next in line.

I'm really excited for you all to try Chai Dog! It's amazing IMHO (should be released this week). We've identified several issues with our mashing and have been able to improve our body issues on our stouts. We keep brewing the Jones Dog variants because I love them and have been working on that recipe with each batch... it's never the same (it is the same but with tried improvements each time). Chai Dog is 10% with a big FG behind it. It's very tasty. We're no longer going to brew Jones Dog/Hyper Dog/End of Days... we're going to brew Imperial JD/HD/EoD from here on out, + other variants. We can do more with a 10% beer than we can with an 8% beer... plus we think it's a better value for you. Because we brew so many beers our evolution and corrections come slower because the batches we can make corrections on are more spread out than if we just brewed the same few beers all the time.

We met with Seedling Farms today and they have a bunch of cool fruits and other things they grew just for us. We hope to put those in Berliners and other beers soon.

Bottle shop news should come by the 14th... =) lots of progress made today.

We also scored a ton of Galaxy so my favorite IIPA should be plentiful this year! With that we also brought in a bunch of new New Zealand hops that we should be able to have some fun with; brand new varietals we've never heard of before.

Sloppy Seconds should get going around October-ish... and we could have the opening party in the cold in Jan/Feb... but we might put it off til April so it'll be tolerable outside.

also, I just want to say again how much I appreciate this community we have here. It's extremely helpful regardless of what Garrett Oliver thinks ;-)

Simply adore your beer Pipeworks! Picked up my second bottles of Citra Ninja and Glaucus today, loved em both on the first go 'round, can't wait for the second. Also was pumped to get the last RTA on the shelf. That one is staying in the cellar until the holidays.

Rainier cherries would be awesome for a possible CTA, tasty (however expensive) little buggers.

EOD is one of my favorites can't wait for the Imperial

Still trying to find RTA down by me. When I do I will definitely drink it right away.
