I agree with what you're saying, but there calling it an "Amercanized Hefe" which is pretty far off from an IPA (on both counts). Not to bash the OP, but I think he set things askew calling it a "Wheat IPA" - and things took off from there..

It's technically a saison, but the Prairie Artisan Ales Prairie Hop I had last night reminded me of a slightly funky take on a wheat IPA.

I can accept a bit of wheat in an IPA, but if it's more wheat than barley, well, that's a wheat beer, not a pale ale.

Kuhnhenn DWIPA is the correct correct answer. It was outstanding.

This. Easily the most complex and tasty White IPA I've ever had. But then again it's brewed with brett, coriander, kumquats and peppercorns, so it's far from a traditional white IPA. Still damn delicious stuff though.

This one right here, but I don't think they distribute outside of Michigan...

I came here to say there is not any, but yeah, there is at least one.

Also Stockholm Syndrome mentioned could be good. If we talk about that Kissmeyer beer? Just bought it, but haven't taste yet...maybe at the weekend.

What's a "wheat IPA"? Is that just OP's way of asking for a hoppy wheat beer? I've never had Gumbalhead, so I don't have a frame of reference.

Also seeing several suggestions for white IPA, which I guess could also be a sort of "wheat IPA" if you consider the fact that some white IPAs, like Chainbreaker, are a hybrid of a wit (type of wheat beer) and an IPA. Either way, this thread is quite the cluster on multiple levels.

I'm pretty surprised you didn't like the shogun, but the four pack I sent was fresh from the brewery
