Lets please review this beer. I actually think its pretty tasty. Its score is horrible, but then again who can argue someone else taste.

If any Houstonians have a couple extra BB4 BM me. I had to go back offshore early so I was unable to make it out to Hay Merchant.

Or if anyone in Dallas or Austin has access to it BM me. I can send you a 006 or other Houston Beers once I get back to Houston.

Damn, it just hit me...was BB4 a BBA DR7?! DR7 sure sounds like the "Saint Arnold Weizenbock" (BB4 without the barrell) some joints are selling along with BB4.

I've got a BB4 with your name on it to replace the BB3, I'll also see what else I can find for you if need be.

Not the same beer. This one is a new in-house recipe.

And come on, man... it did not just hit you. You said the same thing a few months ago. I think your brain is becoming barrel aged.

Awesome Mycah, thank you. I would like at least two bottles total, one to drink fresh and one to age for a vertical I'm working on. If you can't get an additional bottle, or bottles, it's no big deal, I'll be happy with just one.

Anyone have a BB1 sitting around anywhere? Or is anyone in Sugarland that wants to go to Guru and get me a BB1?

I'm sure this question has probably already been answered in one of the previous 46 pages of this thread, but how many beers will be in the BB Series? Is there a set number or is it going to be an ongoing series like the DR series?

I was under the impression that it would be an ongoing project. It's been highly successful, so I can't think of a reason as to why they would stop.

Do they have any left? I bought 1 yesterday. I really need one more BB4 for my vertical program.

I think they need to work on making a bigger barrel facility.

I like what they are doing, but I don't like the crazy goose chase.

Sorry, guess my review is not very popular, had a few people already tell me they did not like it:flushed::grinning: Still not changing my opinion. Though I am sure I will have this a few more times, and will always update if I see fit.

As others have stated, it's not the same beer. Here are some stats taken from Saint Arnold's website.

    Divine Reserve No. 7
    • Original Gravity: 1.075
    • Final Gravity: 1.019
    • Alcohol: 8.4% ABV
    Bishop's Barrel No. 4
    • Original Gravity: 1.073
    • Final Gravity: 1.013
    • Alcohol: 7.9% ABV prior to barreling, 9.9% ABV after barreling

I'm willing to bet you'll find one or someone down there will hook you up but if you don't get one in the next few weeks I have one with your name on it.
