So then did you decide you liked shogun better than you thought initially? Sometimes when things first show up from a trade and they're all shaken up they don't taste right. Or maybe it was a fluke can or you were expecting something different from the first try so it tasted off To you. I'm honestly not all that big a fan of GBH but I've been drinking through cases of shogun all summer. Everyone I know that's tried it loves the stuff!

Good luck on your quest to find GBH2, or maybe FFF will get back around to bottling beer one of these days soon!

Not sure what the difference was...maybe it was a bit shaken up from its trip:slight_smile: Glad you sent 2 of em! Still a huge fan of the Gumball though.

I hate most hoppy wheat beers, but I do enjoy the two from Schneider, Mein Grunes and Hopfenweiss.
It's been discontinued, but I used to really like Sierra Nevada Wheat, too.

I'm annoyed by the term "wheat IPA" though. We really need to stop calling everything with extra hops in it some form of IPA.

Thought you only got the 1, but you must've meant 1 4-pack. Glad you were able to try again, and that you enjoyed it! It's a great beer, for sure. And New Zealand makes some gooood hops

Just stick with Gumballhead if you have it in supply. All others mentioned will just make you wish you were drinking Gumballhead

Was gonna say this. Had to buy one because of the hilarity of the name, and its pretty damn tasty also....

Although "Wheat IPA" may not be an actual recognized style, it is not a bad descriptor for beers like this one or Gumballhead. It is a bit annoying though that everyone is so quick to brand anything they put hops in an "IPA" simply because they are trying to play off the popularity of the style.

I gotta say, I'm having Pyramid's Wheaten IPA, and its pretty decent. My friend just made a hoppy wheat with coriander, and it tastes so close to this its scary.

The obvious ones have been mentioned, but I was surprised at how much I liked Saranac White IPA.

I have a love of GBH too. When I can find any to drink, I head down the street to Half Acre for some Space. It is my new favorite!
