This was definitely a solid IPA, barely tasted the coconut. Was a bit disappointed. I dont think an IPA is a good pairing for coconut anyway, def think it would go better with a stout.

I guess I'm just kind of amazed, after reading hundreds of beer reviews referencing tasting notes of everything from watermelon jolly rancher, pear, fig, date, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, biscuit, grass, lemon, orange liqueur, bread, cherry, raisin, tobacco, caramel, toffee, and god knows what else (all ingredients that aren't even in said beers), that few other people except me could pick up coconut in this particular beer. I assume if Stone put pineapple in an IPA, it would be the first time ever that suddenly nobody detected pineapple in an IPA...

Don't get offended about it. It didn't have any coconut in there, not the end of the world. It's not something that would stand up to any substantial hop schedule.

I'm a nut for coconut, so I was really excited to see this one coming out. Just tried it out, not much coconut. Maybe a little in the finish, like almost nonexistent. Still a decent IPA though.

I definitely got Coconut in the beer, it was just very faint. I still need to buy another bottle to do a full review though.

Toasted coconut was definitely in the finish when I had it- pretty unmistakable, actually.

I could't taste any toasted coconut specifically but it is a very good, well balanced IPA. I noticed the tropical fruity aroma and tasted fruity hops but can't pick out the fruit as being coconut, although I've never had toasted coconut only regular and artificial coconut so maybe the taste is present but I'm just not picking it up because I've never actually had toasted coconut before.

I definitely tasted the coconut. It wasn't screaming at you, but there was plenty in the nose on the finish for me. It was a fresh, natural coconut flavor. I think maybe everyone is looking for that assertive, synthetic piña colada flavor that we all know so well here in Murica. I enjoyed the 2 I got , but won't be seeking more with Enjoy By otw.

You don't have to patronize those of us who couldn't detect much coconut.

The damn rep was wrong. I'll be seeing it next week....along with the 17th and Enjoy By. The ol' pocket is going to take a beating!

I wasn't offended. Just confused. People are constantly detecting/picking up some of the most absurd flavors in beers that aren't even the actual ingredients, yet suddenly aren't capable of detecting the actual coconut that actually is in this beer? Hmm...

I had it on tap yesterday and did not care for it at all.

You know that rancid coconut taste you get sometimes drinking the wrong brand of, or a slightly warm, coconut water? Just imagine that as the finish to your favorite Stone IPA.

I'm a huge Stone fan and love coconut, but this was a no go.

This was a really good ipa. I got some fruit but I didnt really get any coconut. Gonna let the next bomber warm up a bit before I crack it. See if some coconut comes through.

My apologies. Didn't mean to come across that way. I didn't get much coconut either, but did taste it. My gf didn't taste any. I was just wondering if everyone was aware of how different fresh coconut taste from artificial. Maybe some were expecting that "piña colada" coconut flavor. Who knows, so many variables. Just a thought.

this is very encouraging for me. I felt like it was a personal risk, but I picked up a bottle today. I enjoy fresh coconut and I absolutely hate the artificial stuff. I was just too curious about how it would taste to pass it up. I haven't opened it yet, but I am very much looking forward to it.

I'm on "the list" for 2 bottles here in MD when/if it comes in. I'm beyond intrigued.
