Allagash Brewery Bourbon Black bottles

It's $15 per bottle, picked up a case an hour or so ago.

 

Were samples available at brewery?

 

They have 4 beers on tap for the flights in their tasting room, but there were only 3 tap handles on when I got there right after they opened at 10:00. None of the handles were for Bourbon Black. I would assume they have 4 beers on but I don't know what that 4th beer would be.

 

No limits, a woman before me bought 5 cases.

Assuming 12 bottles to a case... that's almost a grand...

 

6 bottles per case but yeah that's still a lot of $$$.

 

so with that sort of purchasing going on, how long will this stuff last?

They posted on Facebook a couple hours ago they sold 28 cases in 3 hours and didn't expect it to be around very long. I wonder how many cases were available total.

 

I bought a few bottles on Saturday. It was on tap as a sample, and as stated, it was $15/bottle with no limit.

Also stopped at Julio's on my way home, and the beer guy said he expected it in a weeek or 2, but that it was going to be very limitied.

 

My sources tell me it's sold out at the brewery store...

 

Twitter confirms it's sold out at the brewery.

A reasonably reliable source states a total of 52 cases (!!) are going to retail in ME and MA. Portland-area store requests exceed that number easily, so it'll be interesting to see how it's handed out.

Grabbed a bottle at BWX this afternoon. 1 or 2 still on the shelf when I left. $21 bones though
