Seneca Place, huh? Right next to my parent's house! I'll be checking y'all out soon for sure.

 

First time customer to Malone's Pourhouse. I was excited to see Full Service and try out a new bar. I stood at the bar for 15 minutes of which several times no one was at the bar and was ignored. There were two points where the bartender leaned against the back wall and stared at me with my credit card in hand. She obvious was refusing to serve me so my group and I left. I will never be back.

She has a lease option on a building down the road and is opening Clyburn's pourhouse in 6 weeks.

 

i noticed this to and decided to go over to yelp to see if this melanie person wrote something over there. sure enough, same exact review (she only has the one review). id be curious as to the real reason this person whould say these things. i find it very hard to believe a bartender would just lean against the bar and stare at the customer. i find it even harder to believe that "melanie" wouldn't have said anything to the bartender. must be a personal vendetta.

 

I don't want to start a back and forth war of respond and reply. My comment was more of a customer complaint after a bad experience. An experience that made me so angry that I felt the need leave negative feedback in hopes that this situation would be resolved by the owners so that another customer doesn't receive the same treatment. And that's it. No big plot to take down a new bar in charlotte. Just an angry customer complaint from a reputable local accountant.

 

I guess right or wrong, you don't seem to have much of a reputation to rely on. To Abb610's point, you really just had a staring contest. Really?? Maybe more details of the situation would explain it. Take an objective step back, your account sounds very strange.

 

A mysterious episode with odd patons, bartenders and alcohol! Sounds like something new under the sun.

 

This is the second time in its short history that this thread has gotten weird.

 

Kind of hoping it would dry up fast.
