    Goose Island,

I was so excited to see Oktoberfest back on the shelves, I picked up a sixer upon first gaze. I don't know if my memory is cloudy, but this is a different Oktoberfest and it's miles better than before. I was so impressed, I returned to the store and bought a case.

Since you thought it was a good idea to bring back Oktoberfest, I am asking you bring back another perennial favorite: Oatmeal Stout. It was so creamy and roasty. It was a delight when the weather outside wasn't. I've since bought many other oatmeal stouts with mixed results; but none matched yours in value: quality and price. I am happy to see Okotberfest back on the shelves and my request is to bring back your other classic, cool weather sipper. Please hurry...

    Winter is coming.

I've never seen Oktoberfest from Goose. Ever. I thought it was a draft-only thing? Is it Chicagoland only? I've recently really rediscovered my adoration for GI and would love to try this! Also, yeah, the oatmeal stout was great!

They gotta get rid of the 312 Urban Wheat. It brings nothing to the table. I had it a few days ago and its just a big pile of malt and blah.

Amen. When the axed this, didn't they say it was so they could work on emerging markets like sours or something like that?

I say eff that. When it was discontinued, it was something like $7 for a six pack of a solid oatmeal stout. I haven't seen anything that quite compares at the price/quantity ratio since.

Other than paying the bills for all their other beers. I don't get it but that crap sells...I guess because it is an alternative to bud light or something.

I'm gonna have to try this again if they do a launch like they did with the brown. I recall it being boring and blah.

I'll be on the lookout for the Oktoberfest. And reviving the oatmeal stout sounds like a great idea to me.

To all the 312 haters, there are far, far worse beers out there. It's an American Pale Wheat Ale; it's light, it's crisp, it's refreshing, and it's delicate in nature. A lot of people would describe the best beers from Koln in the same way. You don't see a lot of people taking pot-shots at Kolsch, though. Yeah, it's rather pedestrian beer, but it pays the bills so that Goose can brew up their other masterpieces. Also, it converted many of us to craft in the first place. Just sayin...
