chainbreaker is good, so is white water by SA. Ghostrider was a let down.

Surprised only a handful of mentions of Chainbreaker. I'd rate it above Gumballhead even.

This. I have yet to find a beer with a more fascinating aroma.

Not a huge wheat fan, but definitely enjoyed TG Thresher and PW Galaxy Unicorn!

I mean, honestly didn't it lose its meaning when it ceased to describe beers that were brewed with extra alcohol to survive the long journey from England to colonial India?

How hard is it to get this little bottle? Is it just 750s? We get CL sixers up around here (Liquid Gold, Kölsch, Freshchester; more recently Pumpkin, Sun Block, and IPA) but none of their larger bottles or 375s.

Honestly not sure, I had a bottle quite some time ago, for all I know they may not even make it anymore...

It's listed as a specialty beer on their website, but not much info I can gather other than that.

I feel like "American pale wheat" all is kind of a catch-all for any ale brewed with cleaner american yeast (i.e. no "true" hefes) and a significant portion of wheat in the grain bill (which can usually be tasted or at least felt in the mouthfeel)...and as many know the line between IPA and APA is grey I'm gonna have to say other than a few obscure and one common (Sumpin') beer, my fave go-to APWA is ST hop-sun. I know it's not an IPA but more of a hoppy but balanced session beer/wheat pale ale but i had to mention it because of it's availability and it's just one of those beers i never seem to get sick of (which is rare)

Trinity brewing red swingline. Primitive ipa containing wheat.
Modus hoperandi, ipa brewed with wheat malt.
Neither of these are hoppy wheats, but rather ipas brewed with wheat. And yeah, I'm on the "hoppy doesn't mean ipa" bandwagon.

Found out by a happy accident (let's try this...) that this is absolutely amazing with grilled fish (walleye).

Now I just need more Akari Shogun & catch some more walleye - neither are an easy task...

Focus on catching more walleye, and then trade the extra for some more Shogun. Boom! Problem solved.
