I suggest Moving to Australia, having shops special order Fou Foune and let it sit on the shelf with "sold" written on it to torment the hipsters in Melbourne that read in a magazine here that sours are in. Not Pale Ales. Then, move back to the US with 2-10 cases of loons and 3F and get a much double sunshine as you want and totally regret it for the rest of your life.

All have personal whales so all good. Moving here and stocking up on loons is suggested though

Move to a different city. It's well nigh impossible to get beers that trade well in DC.

    You kid? Can't tell.

Btw, looked at your wants.. For over half those, I've either found on shelf or was able to trade for.

A lot of good trade bait never makes it into distribution, obviously. Midwest shelf walez like Cherry Rye are an exception.

Which local breweries have limited, brewery only releases that you would say trade well?

DC Brau comes to mind, plus the other stuff that you can get that doesn't require state label approval. But you know your distro better than do I.

Aside from OTWOA, people seem to want Mad Fox's Orange Whip, which is brewery only and released about three to four times a year. This guy was offering a Vietnamese Speedway for a growler of Orange Whip, which seems reasonable (especially considering the source).

If you're looking for a DC/MD/NOVA brewery that's brewed a big stout with wacky ingredients and aged it in fancy barrels to use as trade bait, then yeah, there's basically nothing unless you can convince someone that Mister Mayor is good. Otherwise, the out of market stuff and some of the non brewery only limited releases (e.g. Cafe Royale) can get you most of what you want.
