It's an amazing beer. To the OP, check with MrPeabodysBeard (?) on here. He may be able to help you out. I know there were still 3-4 cases off it from this past year at their big Celler Sale a few months ago.

I still have the 2 I bought there and I'll definitely be buying a good bit of it this year if I can get my hands on it.

I was the opposite. I had two bottles of each. Tried them both on draft the Busy Bee anniversary and promptly setup a trade of one of the stouts for another bottle of the Saison. I heard there were more of these at Peabody's cellar sale back in July. Really wish I could have made the trip for that and some Lindley Park.

I've got a bottle of each, haven't opened them yet. I had a bit of the saison while helping JdoubleA brew an IPA. I liked it, though it certainly wasn't amazing. Then again, I'd sampled a good bit prior. I'll give it another shot.

Please do Because I will be there. We need more bars in the triad selling not only the traditional craft lineup, but the special releases as well.

the first year LP came out I was able to buy quite a few @ Bestway and retreat back down Walker Ave unscathed. Popularity has increased since then, purchase of this year's release will require proof of Lindley Park residence! :grinning: joking of course. Ill try get some extras.

-Your memory is fading old man. You were there for the barleywine, not the IPA. And you were gushing about the saison while we were drinking it.

-Last superbowl I popped a bomber of each. Hard to pick a favorite because the bodies were different as well as the barrel prescence, but mixing them together was superior to either alone.

Ahhh - that's right, you were brewing a barleywine. But no - I recall the saison, which I was giving more praise than due because Jeff was so generous to share it with us. I thought it was pretty good. Again, certainly not spectacular. And again - I'll give it another try.

Uh, that's an outright lie - JAA. You were at my house for the Superbowl last year, cleaning my bathrooms. It's so hard to find a good maid.

That's easier said than done. For bars like Mellow to get things like Lindley Park/Event Horizon on draught, and cases of Hopslam or KBS, we have to sell a lot of each brewery's other stuff throughout the rest of the year. So the problem most places run in to is not having enough taps to justify leaving certain beers on all of the time.

I travel a lot and bars all over the country carry the more limited releases from their local breweries, a trend I am seeing accentuated with the new growler bars - just went to one in Chattanooga and another in Columbus, OH. Hopefully, with the change in the growler laws in NC we will see more kegs of limited release beers in the Triad.

This is so true. Growlers are interesting and marketing them will be a complicated and expensive venture for those retailers that jump aboard when all tenants of the new law are clear and ready. I can tell you that Bestway in GSO will be second to none in great big bottles of beer.

Well, Roger might me be second to one, I don't know about second to none:wink:!

I knew that you would see this little piece. Hey, the more the merrier! It's a major commitment to a different style of beer presentation outside of a brew pub environment. I'll be eager to see how all of the players respond and perform. You guys will do your most excellent normal. It's been a wild cool Summer hasn't it? Tell everyone hello please. Cheers to the High Country!

Didn't the growler law already change? I heard that we were allowed to pour them now, people are just slow to change how they do things. I know that we're working on a way to make it happen.

I will let my boss know. Although I don't think they were super anxious to jump on it either way.

Just checked out the Olde Hickory website and it states that the 2013 LP is sold out. Did I miss something?
