Just came from binnys and Most pipeworks was completely gone except for glaucus Crazy

 

7 or 8 different Pipeworks bombers at Naperville Binnys yesterday.

Thanks for the coupon whoever posted that! Grabbed two NvU today thanks to that. Skokie Binnys didnt have a ton, I also saw Chai Dog, Paradisiac, and End of Days along with about a case more of NvU. Plus I think some other stuff, I was in a hurry and wasnt looking too closely.

 

Thanks for posting this! Clark St. Binny's still had Chai Dog, RTA and NVU though all limit 1 after some asshats came in buying cases. Plenty of Jones Dog, Close Encounters and others too.

 

When did Rta switch to the larger format bottles?

 

It always has been in 750's

 

Man I have been struck out on any of the more desirables (RTA, NvU and CN) this weekend, checked Schaumburg and AH Binnys. I will check a couple more locations before the 20th.

Aww. Why didn't I check this thread sooner? I was just there yesterday to get a few bottle of Chai Dog and would have loved to pick up a glass.

I tried Chai Dog Saturday at the Oak Park Microbrew Fest and it was really tasty. Lots of spicy Chai flavoring with just enough coco to back it up. I'm saving a bottle to open during the holidays this year.

 

A week ago Fischman's had Abduction (batch 60 I think?) I picked one up with a RTA. There were at least 2 there of the older Abduction batch and 1 or 2 of a later batch number.

 

anyone know if algonquin or st charles binnys received chi dog or other fresh releases

 

I picked up the two batch 60's they had left but they might have a few batch 100's. I'm going back after work. Just found that place and love it, found a pipeworks Barrel Aged Smoked Porter batch #5 there last week . I'll see if they have anymore glasses but I plan on picking up 3 more if they have them.

Also guy looking for Abduction I sent a message offering a trade. I can let you know if they have any left later today.

 

Fischman's is great. They're well stocked and Gus, the owner, has worked hard to make it into a craft beer destination. When I was growing up, it was basically an old man bar (shot & cheap beer sort of place) & basic small liquor store. As of yesterday, they had some RTA too (but I may have bought the last 2 Chai Dogs.)

 

Yeah Gus is really cool guy, always willing to answer questions, chat and even recommend other places to get brews at. Sure glad I found that place, its close to my work too. Danger Zone!!!
