A highly drinkable beer for sure. Sam seems to do Lagers well. Its an unusual style too (Kellerbier). This is one you could drink all day but its not likely to get anyone's panties wet around here. Once I polish off my Hopslam and a couple more Barleywines I will be making my seasonal shift towards lagers. Looking forward to some Korbinian, Noble Pils, Rauchbiers, Helles, etc.

I thought it was meh. I remember Noble Pils being better?

My favorite of the 3 was the Whitewater IPA

I also take lagers seriously and not just looking for a slight step up from macros...Alpine Spring is great...bready malts with a nice lemony hop touch...

I plan on doing a side-by with the Noble Pils and Alpine Spring very soon -- I have bottles of both that were recently purchased, so it will be a nice comparison.

finally someone else who feels like i do! I have Mighty Oak when it was in the Sample A/B thing, and hated the hell out of it. Ive had Alpine Spring twice, and will never order it again. As a matter of fact, myself and my cellar got ripped apart for saying that I didnt like it at all. This was before the critical mass error meltdown (lets just call it Y2K) happened.

A bunch of my friends really like it, but they are only your normal beer drinker. Yuengling lager, Stella, Sam Adams Seasonals and lagers, and other beers in the 5 or 6 ABV. This beer is o.k and a little different, but I would have drank many NP on tap by now if I could have.

I thought it was ok. Picked up a sixer for a poker game, it didn't really have my undivided attention so maybe it deserves another shot.

I like Sam Adams beers very much, for the most part. But I don't care for the Alpine. I'll spend my money on the Boston lager and ale, Lat 48, Noble pils and cream stout instead. and Oktoberfest.

I'm pleased with this offering as well. Cheers to my fellow Sam Adams fans! :sunglasses:

Two different cats....the noble pils will be much hoppier....the Alpine a simpler, maltier easy drinker..both are great

I thought it was a nice simple lager with a little hop zing thrown in. If I was looking for an easy drinking beer I certainly wouldn't hesitate to order one.

I enjoyed the beer, but wasnt anything that blew me away. Would be a pretty good year round beer though

I thought it was pretty good but certainly nothing special. The Mighty Oak I liked a bit more. The Irish Red was tasteless and the worst of the 12 pack.

There are plenty of fresh German lagers that are far superior to Alpine Spring if you ask me. Try Weihenstephaner or Paulaner. I am excited for Noble Pils to go year round though.

We'll see... been sampling the newest Noble Pils and it seems much smoother to my palate than it did last year when it first came out -- which is good to me because the mix of the noble hops was a little much for my tongue.

I think its very good and I'm not a big Sam Adams fan. I try all Sam Adam's seasonals and new additions and they are hit or miss. This one is a hit.

The Alpine Spring was a decent beer for me to grab at a restaurant without too many good beer options, but it wasnt something that Im gonna run out and buy.

See, I was impressed with this beer, however, it was my first Keller Bier, so I don't want to be critical nor do I want to go screaming in the streets that this is the best new beer out there. Right now, I'm on the fence and trying different things. Maybe I'll come around that this is the best new beer out there, but for now I'm just gonna keep my eyes open.
