Pike Entire Wood aged Stout!

    Black, creamy, moderate carbonation, delicious and prominent barrel character (75% barrel aged from Dry Fly Wheat Whiskey), 9.5% ABV and most importantly... It's only $10 a bomber! Honestly, one of the better beers I ever had! They're based out of Seattle, so I'm not sure what their availability is like... But if you can grab one, or 9, do it! :grinning: I'm currently trying to figure out why I shouldn't give it a 10.

    Nice try. But as we all know, the only beers worth going nuts over are the ones you have to buy tickets, stand in line, crash websites and chase trucks blah blah blah for.*

    * I walked down to Pike during my lunch break a couple weeks ago and picked up a couple bottles. You're the second local BA to highly recommend this beer, so I'm even more excited to try it now. Oh and OP, if you see Hale's Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, give it a shot. Can't compare it to Entire yet, but I was surprised how good that one is.

    I'm not entirely sure but I think draheim's first sentence is in sarcasm but the next is genuine. I can't be certain though because I haven't had as many Pike Entire's as some people I know. (sorry this wasn't haiku)

    My bad, I actually didn't see the second half of your sentence. Personally, I didn't care for the Hales barrel stout, at all. Not enough barrel character, and the ABV was quite low, considering the style. The Pike in my opinion, is worlds better. If you like the Hales, than I'm hoping you'll LOVE the Pike, especially since they're the same price point! Let me know what you think when you try it! And try it soon, cause you'll probably wanna buy more!

    Want me to be real with you? I'm entirely too lazy at the moment, to break every frickin' element of the beer down in explicit detail, especially since i'm rollin' with a buzz right now. In fact, I'm so buzzed, that I'm thinking about going to Jack n the Box to get some of those rancid, but delicious and greasy 99 cent tacos!

    I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it as much as I did. Totally blew my preconceived assumptions out of the water. Such an amazing beer that I'm sure will fly under the radar.

    That's what's up! That beer's got so much going for it! A lot of my notions were preconceived as well, especially since it had a relatively low score, but I believe that to be based on a bad batch. This batch, however, was pitch perfect.

    Like I said, it's not that good a beer and you just proved it. Great when you are buzzed doesn't mean it's even good...

    Had does that prove anything? I didn't review Bourbon County or Parabola either. Dare you to say either one of those isn't stellar.
