Ok, will try to get this in before the playoffs start. If we get enough people to sign up, we'll start ASAP. Sorry for the delay in getting this done, but wanted to wait until all of the boxes landed from the Pre-All-Star Break BIF. Note that there is an additional rule in the case that this is not completed by the end of the season.

    Here are the rules:
    • Maximum of 30 players can join the pool
    • Preference given to those in last 13 Run BIF, then those who have a good past trading history or have participated in BIFs before
    • Members with limited history must have a sponsor vouch for you.
    • Each member will be assigned a team randomly by the website, runyourpool.com
    • Each time your team plays, the number of runs they score will be tracked, regardless if they win the game or not
    • The goal is to be the first BA who's team scores every number from 0-13 runs
    • If 2 teams get the final number on the same day, the first tie-breaker will be in how many number of games did they complete it in.
      • Second tie-breaker is total number of runs.
    • The winning BA will receive a box with a minimum of 44oz of beer from 28 of the other players, due within 30 days of the pool ending.
    • As a consolation for having the least number of scores ticked, the BA with the team in last place will receive a box from the BA who is in second to last place (this person will not need to send a box to the winner). Last place still sends a box to the winner.
      • Tie-breaker for last place is least number of total runs scored.
    • NEW: Due to how the website works that keeps track of runs, this pool ends during the last game of the 2013 regular season. If no team has scored every number by the last game of the season, then we will go by the same tie-breakers above if there is a tie in number of games completed.
Please send me a BM if you'd like to be a part of this. Be sure to include your full name, email address, phone number and address in case you win. Do NOT post ITT that you'd like to be a part. Preference goes to BA's who participated in the first round. Members from the last round who have said they are in, please send me a BM confirming your participation (I think I have everyone, but please send me a note so I can send you sign up information)

Once I have you confirmed I will send you all of the necessary info to join this pool's group on runyourpool.com. Please make sure your team/user name is your BA name. After we have reached 30 participants and everyone has registered on the website, I will have it randomly generate teams for all of us.

Once everyone has signed up on the site, I will start this right away. Ideally we get 30 people signed up quickly. Questions or if I've missed something, please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Robbie

Robbie, we need a new pool ID and Password to login to Post MLB Runs. Do you have a new league up and going in RunYourPool.com yet?

That way, you'll get less emails up front to join.

I don't want to post it here because then anyone can sign up. I'll send it out individually.

One option if we'd like... we can retroactively set the start date of the pool and it will automatically calculate the runs scored during the time previous to the current day. Something we can discuss, but definitely willing to do this if everyone agrees. Might help if we have only a certain number of days left in the season.

I'd be fine with that, or the previously mentioned:

Whoever has the most unique run totals at the end of the season, and if there is a tie, use total runs scored by the tied teams as the tie breaker.

Are we going to get this started today or tomorrow, we really are running outta days to avoid a huge tie breaker situation, and if we don't have enough participation, I may join another Fantasy Football league before it's too late. I know you're busy with work, sorry for duplicate replies, just trying to get an idea of what's going on.

We've only got 13 signed up now. My plan was to retroactively start the pool either to August 1, or to the July 19 (the first day of games after the all-star break.) I fear that it is getting too late in the season and most people are looking towards football. But if we can get enough signed up, we'll do this.

Again, sorry for the delay, but wanted to make sure all boxes were accounted for before getting this going.

I'd even be fine with a scenario where not every team is represented, and the team with the most number of unique run totals win.

If you have 13 or so, if the computer allows you, just have them assigned.

    Robbie,

Please go ahead and remove me from MLB Runs, I am going to pursue football instead, and the league won't let me remove myself because it's locked. Sorry for the inconvenience. I just thought more people were going to do it and I've got 4 other leagues to worry about.

    Thx,
    Nicole

Any updates on this one Robbie? I wouldnt mind backdating to a certain point, but backdating too far would have teams starting with a ton of runs ticked already and kinda takes the fun out of following scores every day IMO...

We're still only at 13 people, so I think I'm going to call it off, and start early next year. Sorry for getting everyone's hopes up, but just don't think it is going to happen.

Stinks to hear...probably a lot of BAs with football pools starting up. Thanks for trying to get it going though, and Ill keep the lookout for it next year.

Everyone who signed up for this round will have first priority, then I'll open it up to everyone else. Thanks again everyone for playing, and hopefully we get this running before opening day next year.
