    August 22, 2013 Update

This week we took the restrictor plate off of Close Encounter to give it a little more juice. But, it's not exactly street legal so keep it on the down low. (Kidding. It's totally legal, and tell everyone.) We upped the ABV, body and hop additions to bring you CloseR Encounter, a hopped up imperial stout. It strikes a balance between luscious chocolate, coffee & roasted notes and a citrus & floral American hop profile. 11% ABV, 22oz $10.99

CloseR Encounter is available for pick-up immediately at both Binny's Lincoln Park and West Lakeview Liquors.

Kuhnie is doing the whole seasonal BarleyWine/ImpyRed series... so after Reaper he'll take a hack at Easter Bunny. Santa will be back in the winter.

let me look at our google doc...

    Last Kiss in Buffalo Trace
    Murderous in Heaven Hill
Imperial Jones in Heaven Hill (not the same as last year at all... that was a crummy beer in a crummy barrel)

Does Pipeworks currently have some sort of newsletter that they email or even mail out? I'd like to be informed if/when they open up the Sloppy Seconds applications, so that I don't miss out on that deal.

I very much like this thread, its very informative and entertaining. But an official newsletter would be awesome!! Yes, I know you all at Pipeworks are already over worked as is, but its something to keep in mind for the future. Keep up the great work!!!

I got it too. Although they put "Maria" on the tag. So maybe I got her's instead. Sucks to be her.

    Honestly, they are awesome there.

careful saying ****y ******s, thats like saying lord voldemort around here. I think they prefer you say the less offensive SS (because SS has no ties to anything offensive...:astonished: ). There's speculation that that is what caused the last thread to get locked.

we need to break this trend of everything being a battle. ninja vs this, pirate vs that.

Put it in your fridge, I've had multiple Pipeworks bottles "suitable for aging" go bad in two months at cellar temp.
