So this has been one of my biggest wants for quite a while since I love Huna and Laird's Apple Brandy. I haven't posted an ISO but was just curious from others BA's what it would take to land to one:

    Czar Jack
    Twisted Jim
    Baller Stout
    DL '12
    SoBro
    BCBCS
    Bramble
    Darkness '11
    Surly Five
    KH
    ?

Thanks in advance for the input!

It's... beautiful... no idea how to trade for it, but good luck... and I'll be lurking all of your trades from now on

While i don't have a bottle, there were 84 made and going off the reviews on here and Ratebeer that list the bottle numbers opened, at least 16 are gone. So a maximum of 68 around for a near 2 year old stout. It goes without saying it going to take a lot or something big.

I'd scratch one more off that number. I saw a guy drinking one out of the bottle at DLD last year.

Being completely honest here, none of those will land it. Given how the trading forums are nowadays, eBay is also very likely your best option. Go ahead and try trading for it and then see what it is in the bay. I can pretty much guarantee you it will be cheaper to buy it unless you're actually dealing with a reasonable trader that has that beer...such is life.

weren't there like 84 bottles of this made and several years ago...I'm thinking if you combined maybe 8 of those beers someone might bite..but its doubtful..its a white whale or wale

    edit..sorry just read MrKenndy post

Yeah that might be an easier way to land one unfortunately. I know that I would have to add quite a few of these even to get a nibble on BA. Just wondering if there is a chance or to give up for now until I have bigger ammo.

You're going to need a bigger boat.

2 years ago they were going to for Veritas 004, Cable Car, Crianza Helena, etc. Can't be any easier now.

Thanks everyone for the honest feedback. It's pretty clear I won't be able to land one of these. If anyone is from Chicago or going to DLD and is planning on cracking one open, I would happily share any pours of beers i have to try this.

    Cheers,
    Isaac

Honestly, I think even if you combined all of them it might not get done. The only people I see making an offer are the eBayers if they see they can make more out of all the bottles you're offering combined than their one bottle. Which brings me to my point that its cheaper to buy on eBay these days when you don't have the ammo to go 1:1 or 2:1 and even then 2:1 is much more of a bitch to get done.

I see your point. I just can't bring myself to pay over $300 for a bottle, which it seems to be going for. At the end of the day, it's just beer...though a very damn tasty sounding beer to be fair.

I get ya, better start trading up then, it'll be a bitch and take awhile before you can trade up to something of that caliber with the stuff you have on that list. It can definitely be done though. I haven't tried it myself but I agree, Huna is my favorite beer and apple brandy zhukov was awesome so I can only imagine what the Huna version is like.
