Maybe just a typo on your part, but just in case, it's spelled O-v-i-l-a. (You put an extra "i" in there.)

my brother-in-law did it again. He was talking about a new Bruery beer he got as a thank you for being a trustee. He was mispronouncing it completely. eye-exe-e-eye or exe-e, etc. I was wondering if he meant Or Xata, then thought a little bit more. He meant BottleWorks XII, I asked him if he knew what Roman Numerals were.

My co-worker sure enjoys his Argonaut Bastard and another friend loves anything from Langalitas. Also, a documentary on TV recently pronounced his name as `PLEE-NEE'...

I'm pretty sure Bois is pronounced "Bwah", but it's just too much fun to say "Boyz", especially within the appropriate inappropriate context:

"I'm looking for your finest bottle of Bois."

    "Got any Bois for sale?"

"I like my Bois with about a year of age on them."

"This guy I know is really into Bois. He told me he's got five of them in the cellar."

Ordering French/Quebec/French-named Belgian beers is hard because it's like talking about Les Miserables. You can either say it right and sound like a douche, or say it wrong and sound like a douche.

Damn that's an old story. GTA Vee is about to be released.
Of course it has a lot less hospital gameplay than Eye Vee did.

So I was at HnT in Lancaster and I was enjoying a Two Brothers Cane & Eble, when my 9 month old son dropped a load in his pants. And, wouldn't you know, they don't have a changing station in the restroom. So I told the waitress lady, "Hey uh, I need to go out to my car for a minute ok, ill be right back." Go out to change him.. come back. And they totally cleaned up my table. ??I don't get it. I guess she misinterpreted that to mean I'm skipping town please get rid of my beer. Very strange.

Ola Dubh is the (Scots) Gaelic word for black oil and should be pronounced 'Oh-la Doo '. Go on, be a daredevil and pronounce it the right way funny looks or not. And while you're there remind people of how they should say 'scone' as well. ;-)

Correctamundo. But you know, Scots & Brits have just as many mispronounced words. 'Los Angeles' is my particular pet peeve.

Heard some guy try to order a "Bubblegum head" at my local drinking establishment when trying to order a Gumballhead. The funny thing is he had the beer menu right in front of him and the tap list was on the chalkboard on the wall in big letters so I wasn't sure if he was trying to be cute or something or if he really was that stupid.

One of the beer merchandisers at my place of work calls GL Dortmunder Gold,"Dementor Gold." Must watch too much Harry Potter. I had a customer ask for the "angry bird beer"....referring to Angry Orchard cider....haha.
