SWTFYW Hints and Hauls!!!

i think i saw a bif where one starts with a 6 or 12 shipper and mails it to one person who then takes 4-6 (but doesnt say which ones) from the box and replaces of equal value/style and then ships to the next where it ends back at the original person. that i could get into but takes a lot of time.

 

Yeah, I'm kinda thinking I may have to scrap it. If we can't hit 10 by the end of the week I'll scratch it. Figured it got a little too wordy and complicated for a BIF. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

 

Yeah, I think Cuzco ran the most recent one (still going on I think). If my current BIF doesn't pan out, I may try making a new one that's not nearly as complicated. May try something similar to Cuzco's format. Just takes a long time to complete the BIF.

 

I love the idea and the creativity, the timing just sucks for me.
If the shipping window ends up dragging out another couple of weeks, I'll get in.
In fact, I picked up a bottle over the weekend based solely on the name and how it would fit
into the BIF that I am not actually participating in as of yet.

 

Yeah, Nate's running that BIF too, and as far as i can remember it was formulated like this:

12 bottle shipper:
3 Sours
3 BA Stout
3IPA's
3 Barleywines

Take 2 out of 3 out of each respective style, and replace with equal/greater quality. All 22oz's or 750's.

Yeah I respect the fact that you took the time to create it and it's certainly not a bad idea. You're just looking for a more specific target than throw some shit in a box BIF. Hope it works out still.

 

I like the Halloween idea! This was my first BIF and I never imagined 50 pages (and going) in the Hints & Hauls thread. What an awesome and entertaining time it's been with this crew. IF Cuzco was gonna run another one, I'd love a shot to pass along all this generosity to a new unsuspecting target in Sept/Oct.

Finally got back from vacation and got my 2 boxes which were waiting for me at work. Will post the pron once I leave and take them to the hotel tonight.

 

My boxes are out for delivery. My guess us they'll be in their Fedex office NOT in Freemont waiting to be picked up, if someone wants to go check it out later...

 

If we do xmas someone is going to get a fresh bbpt5 and one from last year in their box...

I am on my phone forgot the iPad at work so I was being lazy. But Perenial Saison de Lis, Barry Rye, Vapeur Cochnne and Cochenette, Delerium Tremens, Saison Brett 2011, Black Butte 25, Big John, Plead the Fifth, Union Jack, Mad Hatter, On the Wings of Armageddon, ZD, Fresh Squeezed IPA, North Peak Diabolical and the SN version of the IPA glass.

I have been trying to get my wife to enjoy craft beer. She finally found one she liked in Founders Rubaeus. Last night she asked me for something else. I poured her a Schlafly Pumpkin Ale in a pint glass. Her response? "Why don't I get one of the pretty glasses?" I drank it.
