I believe someone told me it was something like 18 days. Could be wrong though.

I saw Roadsmarys baby on the shelves and since I like Pumpkin beers, I'm excited to try it. I just may pick some up this weekend and see how it is. I thought their imperial IPA was more than decent. That is a beer that I would go back to.

I also dug this the most of their core 4. I know a bunch of people like the Pils too.

I def. get the barrel in Roadsmary's,more in the taste than smell.Esp. when it warms.
Is this a killer pumpkin ale? No.
    But do-able.

    It is what it is.

    Cheers All.....

I know sandman mentioned not being a fan, but the UFO Pumpkin cans are reeally good this year. And if you want less spice, more pumpkin, I think it's a good choice. I'll give the roadsmarys another shot in a couple weeks. the sam adams harvest pumpkin was surprisingly tasty too.

Interesting... I didn't realize there was federal regulation regarding time for barrel aging beer.

    RE: Roadsmary's Baby

All noticeable lack of rum barrel aside, this is certainly not the worst pumpkin/spiced beer out there (a style that's already pretty low on my interest scale).

Fun fact: very few breweries actually use pumpkin as an ingredient for their "pumpkin" beers. It's typically just an approximation of flavors/aromas that one would typically associate with something that might be pumpkin flavored (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, clove, ginger....none of which are particularly "subtle"). So yeah, flavor-wise, it probably does seem a bit exaggerated to most drinkers when compared to some of the more neutral pumpkin beers out there. Also, it's definitely not as overbearing or cloying as Pumking and definitely not as forgettable as something like Shipyard Pumpkinhead. Actually, I think there's a nice middle ground to be found within this particular seasonal.

Honestly, for $1.79/bottle, I'm happy to quite casually continue to buy a bottle here and there as we approach the proper season in which these kinds of beers should ideally be released.

I like the Roadsmary. I surprisingly enjoyed No Limits despite not being a huge fan of the style. But yeah I do think overall Two Roads could be doing better. Have never been to the brewery, but charging for samples sounds lame.

I asked them how long they had the beer in the barrels. The dude said two weeks then I replied that's not aging. He then walked away. Go figure.

I live 5 min away. Been there 3 times.

What?! For real? 2 weeks. Wow. I'm done with their shit. Not gonna waste any more money on their releases again until I see people talking awesome about them. So like I said, done!

Two Roads tweeted a picture of them putting more Roadsmary in barrels yesterday. So I guess the next batch will be out in a few weeks.

There are a few people questioning how long they barrel age it there too. Their reply is a little less than forthcoming... Two Roads Brewing Company We taste the beer every week until it's ready

They also replied on the Instagram photo when asked how long it's barrel aged and said "only a few weeks".

Instead of the label saying "aged in rum barrels," it should say "temporarily stored in rum barrels."

My last post was a complaint? Here I just thought it was good old fashioned shit talk. But yea that just meant I was done drinking their beers. Definitely not done talking shit.
