Here is the haul, amazing box of beers from JoeDurp. Fedex cant read when someone says this side up cause that side was down when the box landed. Its kinda strange how packing nuts interact with beer. it makes like little buggers. freaked my wife out, but I thought it was funny as hell...

Saint Arnold- Pumpkinator (love pumpkin beers soooo now a new one to try)
Alaskin- Smoked Porter ( not ready for smoke beers but in about a month this will kill it with some BBQ)
Real Ale- 4 Squared
Real Ale- black Quad
Homebrew ESB ( perma want)

super pumped about the brews. I am in Jester King heaven right now.

as for the fallen few, I did find a black wax top and part of the label for a Black Butte something but the rest of the label was in different pieces. and 2 different cage and cork tops that looked to say Prairie, something with a green label from the rubble. what ever the bottles were the cocktail of smells was great.

 

It was last years black butte plus prairie hop and prairie funky galaxy of the two prairie only 1 was amazing the other I had after I sent the box and it was weird. Was there anything differently I could have done with the packing or was FedEx just stupid?

 

I think bubble wrap around every bottle helps. And packing the box tight with paper, bubble wrap, peanuts whatever to make it so there is no room for anything to move no matter what direction the box may go in. Or you can go the UFMJ route and do box in a box. Box with beers wrapped in bubbles and filled with peanuts to the top making sure there is some between bottles too. And then put that box in a larger box with peanuts around it. MJ sends the best packed boxes I have ever seen.

It's all good brother. Depending on who sends to you you'll see what others do. I switch up my methods depending on what boxes I have in hand or my beer store has to give me. ( someone donates shippers to them and I get them). But if you ever need a hand or have question in the future let me know. I'm always down to help.

 

My target's box landed today. 45+ lbs. Don't strain your back.

 

I don't think this is me... I think my boxes will be arriving tomorrow, or maybe Thursdy. Not sure what the shipping time is from Il to Va. Yeah, I'm fishing for some kind of confirmation

Shipping time is so relative. FedEx missed their delivery date from MO-NY by 2 business days. Had hoped my package would have landed Friday of last week.

 

My boxes (40lbs. of LOVE) will be landing tomorrow.

 

I just finished up packaging a second box for my target and I am getting pretty damn thirsty as well!

I'm gonna guess IPA Fans target is Seth. I am also going to guess that a Blackhawks fan will be getting a box on Thursday.

 

I just rented a house in my target's state for next summer! They should have their boxes by Thursday!

 

I would concur. Or at least I hope I'm his target, otherwise I'm really really bad at guessing in BIFs.

 

Well Cuzco if your getting a house in VA hit me up and I will host a bottle share in your honor.

 

Well I will be landing in VA in order to drive a couple hours to my destination.... People used to drive from VA down the coast line to get to the area I am staying in! If you take this route I would suggest watching out for horses....

I don't live far from OBX so I could bring some bottles down since I still go there for vacation anyways. Must hit up chips and trio's. and drink lots of beer at fish heads. In fact I am going to fish heads again in a couple weeks for a huge party since its only about an hour and a half away.
