Hey guys,

I'm headed to the park next Friday and Saturday (July 26/27 Vs Phillies) all the way from Vancouver, Canada. My buddies and I are on a baseball road/beer trip adventure. Anything special planned? Even without anything 'special', that is one of the best craft selections I've evr seen at any pro sporting event. Can't wait!

 

hey guys sorry for no update for firkin friday last night but I actually didn't know what the firkin was till about 20 minutes before we tapped it, but if you missed it it was Atwater's decadent dark chocolate ale, and there should still be some available tonight can't say for sure since i will not be there tonight also there will be a specialty keg from Atwater, I believe they said it was Hop-a-peel but I could be remembering wrong. And there have been a few changes in the regular draft line up, ghetto blaster, vanilla java porter, and sumer time ale are gone. they have been replace with Griffin Claw's grind line pale ale, and Atwater Grand Circus IPA, and Atwater Cheery Wheat is now on draft no longer in bottles and the bottle has been replaced with cans of Twisted Helles from Frakenmuth Brewery.

 

Sweet. Headed down there tonight and look forward to seeing the new beers.

 

Headed to the day game tomorrow with a buddy from out of state. Anything special on tap tomorrow?

tomorrow for Firkin Friday we will have Hoptown Brown from Arbor Brewing Company, also I have the last of our Atwater summer time ale on tap

 

Had some of the Hoptown Brown last night, wish the firkin beers were served in the same 16oz glasses as the regular pours. It sure was a long walk from the upper deck in Left Field! I was the guy with the little one in the Baby Bjorn who was back a few times for Two Hearted (me) and Oberon (my wife).

 

Hey folks I guess its time for the summer seasonals to go, earlier today my warehouse manager told me that after we run out of New Holland White Hatter, Atwater Cherry Wheat, Arbor Strawberry Blonde, Arcadia Whitsun and Bell's Oberon, there will be no more ordered, I'm pretty sure they will all be replaceed with other beers from the same brewerys, The only one I know for a fact is Atwater will go back to Vanilla Java Porter, and I heard it might be Ichabod from new holland. And in other news today at the ballpark we just opened a brand new strawberry shortcake stand, and it should "soon" be selling Arbor's Mackinaw Fudge Stout, possibly as an icecream float.

damn...missed out on that Oracle. Props to hobobumguy on doing the craft beer stand right this year, its really been a highlight for me in an already awesome Tigers season.

Any word on things for Friday night?

I will be going to tomorrow's afternoon game in a suite. I'm just wondering, what beer is carried in suites? Is it just Bud Light? I haven't been to a suite for about 5 years, so I have no idea what's changed.
