Got the "The Audacity of Hops" from the Lancaster Library; interesting read. However, Stoudt's, Penn Brewing, and Pennsylvania in general get no shrift. Anyone know why?

    You might ask him.

I haven't read the book yet, or I would do it myself.

I actually just finished reading the book today -- it's quite good. I doubt that the author intentionally left out any of the story of Pennsylvania breweries, and that could potentially be a function of page limitation constraints. The author likely had to be selective in choosing the particular breweries to feature. Maybe the editorial decision was made to focus on other brewers and breweries...

Or perhaps, for one reason or another, it was difficult to research the story of Stoudt's and Penn Brewing for information for the book...

I would be curious to see what the author has to say, if you do decide to reach out and ask him...what were you overall thoughts on the book, despite the lack of "shrift" for Pennsylvania?
