I love the flavor combo too. If you haven't tried mixing fresh Hoptimum 50/50 with Old Rasputin, it's actually super delicious. Like, REALLY good.

No mention yet of Bell's Expedition Stout? Okay, I've never encountered any RIS or American Double Stout that was as hoppy as Mikkeler's Hop Breakfast, but that's not an Impy. I am curious to see if anyone has ever encountered something like an "imperial" version of that flavor profile, because Hop Breakfast was unique. Not necessarily anything close to my favorite, but unique for sure.

Full Pint-Night of the Living Stout. Really hoppy and super tasty. One of the few IMP stouts that I enjoy year round.

    Cheers!

Not sure where in NY you live but Peekskill brewery has a few hoppy stouts/black IPAs like midnight toker and vaporizer that it sounds like you would love.

Foothills Brewing and Wicked Weed collaborated on a beer for Asheville beer week called Batch 69. Rumor has it was they mixed WW Freak and Foothills Sexual Chocolate. I'm not sure it was SC, but DAMN was it good. Not bottled, long gone unless they are holding back some kegs (or hopefully a Bourbon Barrel?!?).

Clown Shoes Hoppy Feet 1.5 is a really good black IPA if they distribute in your area.

The answer is Smuttynose Imperial Stout. Even with age it's incredibly choppy. And Old Rasputin of course.

The poster child for hoppy stouts is Storm King, you can't deny it.

Other good ones, most listed before:

    Old Rasputin
    Yeti
    Kern River Class V
    Vampire Slayer
    Philadelphia Shackamaximus (local one)

Three Floyds Toxic Avenger straddles the border between hoppy stout and roasty CDA, more on the stout side. In The Name Of Suffering is similar but more on the CDA side of things.

I enjoy them, but not when it's over the top hoppy. Black Bear Stout by Bear Republic is really the only one I seek out with any level of frequency.

+1 on fresh regular Yeti, and it's one of the best Imperial style stouts on the market.

I always thought FFF Black Sun had a lot of hops.

I think Founder's RIS has 90 IBUs. Also Smuttynose, Doris the Destroyer, Yeti, and Storm King.
