I had the fresh squeezed on tap at Deschutes a few weeks ago when I was there, and even though I typically don't drink IPA's, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Almost brought some bottles home for my IPA-loving friends - regretting that decision now...

Personally I've been finding that if its an ipa over 30 days old, its probably fallen off pretty hard. I grabbed some union jack the other day bottled on 7/24 and it was still pretty spectacular but have tried 90 min or 60 min with two months on it and its just god awful bland

Does that Specs normally get limiteds/seasonals? I live up north as well and am looking for some other go-to spots.

I think the Tropical Tripel is officially the first Cigar City release to be sold in Texas (Right?)

AND DON'T SAY COLLABS DON'T COUNT!

Who was it saying that it couldn't get label approval?

Its not a Cigar City beer is a DeProuf beer. I feel like most people have wishful thinking that it is something that it is not. The Widmer/CCB collabs also got label approval so its safe to assume that Cigar City could be a licensed brewery in Texas if they ever wanted to expand here.

I wonder if TABC looks at the label and says, "Wait a minute! It says Cigar on this label, this is a no go..."

Precedent for breweries collaborating with CCB is that it is ok now so I would assume it will be here.

Cant wait.. the specs in clear lake always get tons of the Lips of Faith and they just sit around for months and months. I hope the same happens with this one..

They are tapping it at Goose Acre in the woodlands today.
