Half Acre - Beer Hates Astronauts IPA

It's 11:30 in the morning, there's no predicting the future.

 

I'm sitting at the bar now. There is probably 100 bottles in the cooler. The beer is cold and delicious. The end.

 

Thanks dudes! And you sir are a real craft beer fan, having a DIPA on Saturday morning.

 

That's just fine. Plenty of great beers around.

 

I read that this beer sucked because it wasn't a DIPA?

At 11:45 am, the cooler was very well stocked.

 

had this beer for the first time last night. loved it. seriously good stuff.

 

Plenty left in the cooler. Limit 4.

They also have Guest lager on tap right now which is just as good, if not better. Definitely grab a pint of that if you can.

 

I really hope they re-brew Guest Lager and don't keep it as simply a one-off, collab beer because even by the standards that HA has for their pale ales/lagers that beer was fantastic. Also, I wish they would put these types of releases in the 4-pack 16oz. can format instead of bombers (ie. like with Guest Lager).

 

I asked a bartender and she doesn't think it'll be canned again. Booooo.

 

I popped into the store around 4:30 today and they still had several cases' worth in the cooler.

 

Anyone know if there were bottles left as of Sunday at closing time?

 

BHA is really good, up there w my favorite Ive had from them. I honestly didn't pay much attention to the label, but my seven year old daughter thought it was cool?

I'd be fine with label art all looking something like Maine brewing, but if HA makes delicious beers & wants cartoons of bears fighting robots on their bottles it certainly hasn't stopped me from drinking and loving their brews.

I was drinking Half Acre before they existed .

 

I still prefer Eighth Acre, which was only distributed on the 4200 block of North Lincoln Avenue. Half-barrel brewing system, before they sold out.

 

A keg of it turned up at "Kegs For Kids" at the Hopleaf Bar on Sunday.
I thought it was pretty good. But I am not keen on IPAs, so your mileage may vary.

 

I was able to grab a couple bottles and I put it right there with Galactic Double Daisy Cutter ..... Most excellent !!!!!
