First a can of Wainwright; now RedWillow's Heartless. It's a bit funky

Does the King send you free 'loons as a welcome gift?

Up and ready for action after last night's festivities.
    Top of the tasting was:

    Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout
    BrewDog/Stone Bashah Reserve-Imperial
Westy 12 (last minute entry which I saw as a sort of control/ palate re-calibration exercise)
    BrewDog Abstrakt AB: 04
    BrewDog Dog A
    Thornbridge Bracia

There were about another 20 beers, many BrewDogs (eg.AB:01-03, 05&06), which weren't really up to scratch. But the six above were all very sexy indeed.

Three cheers for Bevis and his merry wench! (Wench here used in the jolly medieval fishwife context)

    Can o' Wainwright
A third of a bottle of Chilean carmenere
    Brass Castle's Vanilla Porter

The porter is perfectly decent though I'm not getting much vanilla....

Just had Brains Craft Brewery Bragging Rights. It's got a very ginger/clove heavy scent, but it's rather mild in the mouth. Tiny hint of ginger in the aftertaste, but other than that it's pretty generically "beery"

Stopped by whole foods and got a

Duchesse de Bourgogne, Little creatures pale ale, inveralmond blackfriar and a bottle of hurricane jack.

LC pale ale was decent, it was lacking a bit of hop aroma and flavour I guess it would be a fair bit better closer to source

hurrican jack is solid as always

I'll save the other two for the end of the week, got some curried lamb chops on the go and I think I've got enough spice to destroy any beer so some tennents might accompany it
