Faux-bab, November 9th

Just trying to get a preliminary head count for this event. I am going to meet up with Niall later this week to discuss the logistics (head count, time). He had already suggested that we would have an early start time, probably noon or 1:00. If you think you going to attend please reply to this thread. Hope to get the ball rolling on this. Cheers!

Sorry for such limited details. I started this idea in the south suburban thread. The idea is to have an awesome bottle share for those of us who didn't get FOBAB tickets. Even those with tickets are invited of course. Right now I am in the process of planning a meeting with Niall from Tribes Alehouse in Tinley Park with the hope that we can use that as our venue. Anyone who attends would be asked to bring a minimum of one bottle, preferably one that is not a readily available year round beer (keep your zombie dust at home). The idea is to get some rare beers that others may not have had and share them. I'm down to hear people's suggestions to make this event as fun as possible. I will keep you all posted as I get all the details sorted out.

 

I talked to one of the managers at Tinley Tribes last night. Sounds like we got ourselves a time and venue for this event.

November 9th, 11-2 @ Tribes Alehouse in Tinley Park

We'll have our own section of the restaurant. If it is a nice day out, we will have this out in their beer garden. Tribes was kind enough to provide us with sample glasses and a server for those who would like to order food. I like the idea of trying to keep this mostly barrel aged beers, but it all depends on what we all have in our collections. As we get closer to November we can start a beer list to try to avoid any duplicates. Hope to see you guys there in a few months!
