Ruination is my #1 go-to IPA. A second would be Resin. I would be okay with those two slugs in the barrel.

Could easily hang "with the big boys."

    Glad now available in bottles.

Started off on IPA's with Bell's Two Hearted and Founders Centennial. Have searched far and wide for additional delicious IPA's and have found many. Circled back recently to these two (and other midwest options) and had forgotten how much I'd enjoyed them in the past. Always available fresh. Too bad Union Jack isn't easy to find consistently fresh near me. I'd probably flip a coin and replace one of the above with it.

When did Ithaca pull out of CT? I used to get Flower Power there.

They haven't, but I live in a corner in SE CT. Distro is spotty at best. I've seen Gandhi Bot here once, and it's brewed about an hour west of me! Never seen Flower Power here.

Had Jai alai over the weekend and was reminded how great this IPA is. It's readily available most of the time so I just take it for granted in the midst of trying new beers.

I also really liked the all grain Pliny clone I made from Austin home brew.

Jai Alai (my new favorite) and Racer 5, neither of which are available in Louisiana.

If choosing from what is readily available, Stone IPA and Hopitoulas

I brought a case of Jai Alai home from Florida and it went way too fast. I miss it. I was there for 10 days and minus a Sculpin on tap and a mug of Yuengling it is all I drank down there.

Maybe it is just a regional thing, although CT is such a small state that you wouldn't think that any area was beyond a distributors reach. I always see Ithaca stuff on when visiting New Haven and have had Flower Power at the beer bars around downtown a few times. Coincidentally, just a couple of miles from NEBCO.

I like St-Ambroise. However, I just sampled their soon-to-be-released Double IPA and the bitterness was overwhelming. Seriously, the aftertaste stuck with me 3 different beers later. This was my first ever Double so I'm probably being a wuss about it but are they supposed to be THAT bitter?

Based on availability to me, Odell's IPA is my go to IPA, Myrcenary my go to IIPA.

If I had access to Cigar City's Jai Alai or Brew Kettle's White Rajah, those two would enter into the equation as well.

I imagine if I ever got to try Alpine's Nelson, that would end up being my choice.
