Small Batch 4 with vanilla beans, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, and cherries on cask was brilliant.

... pretty sure that was small batch 4, anyway.

I was not a fan of 6. I had a bottle Sat night and I drank about a quarter of it before it hit the drain. I should have known better but I am a sucker for a flanders.

The one I tried at the AR bottle share was pretty damn sour. The primary downfall was that it was way too boozy.

Yeah, but with this beer there's at least plausible deniability of infection. Lol

You can still have a bad infection in a sour

The two I tried weren't that sour and weren't that boozy either. Someone drinking it with me (Minh) said it had an "infected sour" rather than the kind of sour you'd expect. I wasn't sure if I could detect what he was saying.

The bottle I had was frankly great. I found it to be a fantastic example of the Flanders Red style. I only picked up one bottle though, and I think we already know that RC is not on top of the whole 'consistency' thing, so it's entirely possible that I got lucky.

You need to mix them all in one big bucket... for a suicide punch type thingee.

I've had contaminated sours with diacetyl (recently a bottle of 512 Wild Boar at a share) that were buttery and not very sour at all.

How did someone get a bottle of this? I was under the impression this was draft only.

It was a small release of ~500 bottles, iirc. Not recently either... it was back in 2011.

Ahh ok, that was before my craft beer cherry was popped. Sick bottle.
