Say what you will about DFH's beers but Sam is an excellent representative for the craft beer community and exactly the type of person I want running a craft brewery and advocating for craft beer in general.

Apparently, he just had enough of the truly uninformed (WRT DFH) crowd and their relatively unsubstantiated vitriol. Personally, I enjoy DFH brews and while they aren't in my 10 or 15 favorite breweries, if DFH was the only available option, I'd still be a happy man.

I agree. I think the guy in it has a funny voice and I'm not sure if he is trying to be funny or just has a voice that makes him sound really sensitive but I think they have come a long way as beer drinkers. It's actually turning into a quality show and they do a good job of not letting the BA masses effect their opinion too much.

Everytime I see Sam talk it makes me wish more and more DFH was distributed to my area. His open attitude toward ingredients is awesome and has actually inspired me to toss some strange things in my brew kettle. I also think his brewery is about the prefect model for how one works. The brewpub doing the testing in genuis and allows for the locals to the brewery to be sort of on the inside and feel more connected to the place. Keeping the company private and the profit sharing program they use is also a great buisness model. I think Sam is currently doing everything right and while not all of this beers fit every occasion every time it fun to try them and find them which is what beer should be about... fun.

Trust me. I'm not trying to sound funny. I've never thought about myself as "sounding sensitive". Is that a euphemism for "sounding gay"? Hopefully, my passion for beer will outweigh my funny sounding voice. I loved this interview and we have some other really cool interviews in the works. Thanks to everyone who tuned in!

No not saying you sound gay. I dunno what it is maybe sensitive was the wrong choice of words but I actually like your show and I think you guys do really good work. Keep it up man your show seems to be taking some hold as of late and I hope you end up doing something fun with it!

Hi, To James at Better Beer Authority, I said to myself about a month ago that the next step for this group would be brewery tours. I was thinking of some local Ohio brewereies so I was impressed with the DFH interview - this is a gutsy move and I like it.
Regarding BA posts: I wonder how may of them are composed by half in the bag people who get upset over the smalllest things including craft brewers that become successful thus adding good paying jobs with benefits for regular people. I take these posts with a grain of salt. They would love Sam C. if he was double mortgaging his house and cutting health insurance to his workers to make ends meet. Grow up already, you're 23 and have been working for 18 months!!!!

Well put sir. I really agree with this. Sam has done a great job or trying to build up this industry and not be cheeky about it.

    Cheers!

Since I am a Dogfish Lover and since I can not call out anyone, I will say respectfully: if you do not like Dogfish but you criticize who ever likes this brewery you can do two things 1.) Show us examples of a great brewery that you enjoy or 2.) We can have a fistfight about it, and that is silly to fight over breweries, but in all seriousness it is not respectable or honorable to bash some one over what they love. Because hey there could be someone calling you out about it, and then if you are serious about it, you will respond in kind.

And no worries I am sober :grinning: ( I am taking a year break from beer for body building)
