    Good to hear. The Screw City website also has Big Smokey P listed. Is it safe to assume that this is a smoked porter? I've not seen or heard of it that I can remember.

    Couldn't agree more.. Simcoe is my favorite hop, even better than Citra IMO.

    pineapple bling is availabe for fwb at vav. Cash 4 gold with pineapple and lime juice. Will rip open as soon as it gets chilled.

    Haven't been paying attention lately or in the past with this thread(s) so bare with me. The last time I had a bottle of Simcoe Ninja it tasted off, the word we used to describe its taste was "pond water" haha. I don't think the bottle was old when it was consumed and it was one of the first batches of SN I believe, consumed over Memorial Day weekend 2013. Thoughts on this incident? Were my buddies and I alone or was this problem noted by more than a few? Sorry, I do not have a batch number for the bottle in question.

    My bottle was fantastic, this would be the first I've heard anyone give Simcoe Ninja anything but the highest praise.

    P.S. - Pipeworks - please make this every 5th or 6th batch, it if by far my favorite of your hoppy beers.

    This was a great idea, I opened a bottle of Simcoe that night after reading this and it was in fact piney deliciousness.

    This week we have two new beers for you beautiful thirsty people.

    Have you ever been sitting, looking at a pineapple and thought to yourself, "Damn, that thing would look great plated in 24k gold!"? Well, we did the beer equivalent by taking Ca$h for Golden Ale and blinging it out with pineapple and lime juice. The result is a real stunna'; delightfully dry and dangerously crushable. $9.99, 750ml, 10.5% ABV

    Big Smokey P is our regular smoked porter's bigger brother. When he's not busy giving L'il Smokey noogies and wet willies he spends his time being a full, rich beer with a perfect balance of complex smokiness and malt character. When Momma Smokey catches the Big guy picking on his little brother she sends him to the cellar for a time out and it wouldn't be a bad idea if you did the same. $9.99, 22oz, 10.5% ABV

    Both Pineapple Bling and Big Smokey P are both available for immediate pick up at Binny's Lincoln Park and West Lakeview Liquors.

    It's called Australian Summer Ninja. Stop there with the names.

    My guess is some Australian hops, and then if it's anything like the Tasmanian IPA that Schlafly put out last year, oy.
