Have not seen it here in chicago just yet, but its supposed to make its way down. im sure we could work something out though, otherwise, you could post an iso:ft for just shelf beers and it shouldnt be a problem to land

How much age would you say? I've got a 2012 in the cellar now prepping for Oct.

In my experience with previous versions, I would say the sweet spot is at 3 years. It starts going down in terms of flavor after that. Had a 2012 a month ago and it was drinking great!

I like to age Pumpkinator as much as I can. The nutmeg is so strong when even remotely fresh! :grimacing:

See my list above.....also, Schlafly does not classify its Pumpkin as an Imperial

sweet! thank you. I will try to hold it for another year or so but, shit, who am I fooling? I don't think it will last. Is it readily available during fall in Texas?

It sells out pretty fast. People hoard it and sell it on Craigslist. Saint Arnold has a fan base of people that quite often don't actually like their beers much but want to jump on the bandwagon. Compound this with the huge craft beer boom in Houston and it makes it rather a pain. Most places will sell out in 1-2 days with some outlying stores having it longer. In Austin and Dallas it sticks around much longer.

This will be my first St. Arnolds. I'm thrilled I was able to get my hands on one. I guess it's time to track down a few more bottles. Thanks!

It shouldn't be too hard. It's made in large quantities, just a lot of people want a lot of bottles. lol

    Hope you enjoy it.

Missed your Fat Jack mention. Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale is 8%. That's big enough by my standards to call it an imperial.
