I had time to type in my address and snag one more bottle of Rebel Yell. It's like being at a hockey game, I swear...:stuck_out_tongue:

    Edit: All 3 gone again.

So what if people purchased to trade? It's probably unlikely they won't keep some for themselves. And if so, isn't that good advocacy if you think about it? Getting the bottles into the hands of people who will be searching them out to try? There's probably tons of people that don't live on the West Coast (or in Philly) that get the Eclipse bottles who'd love to try it. If you had the means to purchase, why not? Not everyone has a hook-up.

Purchasing them to SELL on some other site is an entirely different story...

on the way to you from the brewery/proxy or on the way to the trade?

i initially wasn't going to order them, but ended up putting in an order after i started drinking more of last year's. although pricey, they are so enjoyable to drink when you want a solid BA stout. looking forward to DRINKING the ones i ordered.

It was more directed to people who are purely using it as trade bait, who have no intention of drinking it. If 50/50 hadn't put a special provision on Rebel Yell, there is no way in hell it would have sold out first.

Ha! I'm in Canada so I'm spending $12-$13 PER BOTTLE on shipping/taxes/duty and stuff just to get them to me! Trade them? From my cold, dead hands maybe...

    --Maybe there's a raging, hermit type alcoholic thats into craft beer who thinks people who bring bottles to bottle shares is stupid as hell for sharing the beers he drinks;
--or a capital investment group that thinks consuming things that you can exploit for $$ (and consuming readily available substitute goods instead) is what is stupid.

Its your viewpoint though, believe away.

Agree to disagree. I'll drink my eclipse bottles, and if people want to trade, sell, hoard, throw them off highway overpasses, or hit their pet goats with the bottles, so be it. Yay America!

Ugh, bummed I missed Rebel Yell and Bernheim AGAIN this morning. Maybe if I'm lucky enough to make it to the release I'll be able to grab some there...

Of course, being able to go to the release is a huge freaking gamble in and of itself.

I got everything I wanted for me and some others. I giggled when their website couldn't handle the number of requests again.

If you need somewhere to ship, you can ship to me, and I wil then ship to you. I won't be heading to the Brewery for the release.

    Cheers!

Poor Russ. I'm sure you'll taste some.

Speaking of tastings, think you can make the next beer rev tasting?

Weeknights are rough for me right now, so probably not. Looking forward to the next Sunday one though.

My train trickets to Truckee for the solar Eclipse arrived yesterday. That'll be a fun day.

I'm headed to the brewery early December to grab mine.

Have two 08 PVW's still in the basement, 4 of each of the 2010, and several of all the 11's, 6 barts and a case of annularity.... Got a little 50/50 happy!
