Too Much Time On BA LIF 8.5. I won CCB Forgotten Island, CCB Brewer's Brunch, a sixer of Jai Alai, Surly Seviin and some more goodies.

Since this has become the baby making thread, I just found out the sex of mine. And I'll have a newborn likely before this BIForever is over

My baby turned 1 today...kinda scary how fast it went by...I honored him by drinking a few Tired Hands 1L growlers in which he got a small taste of and made some very weird faces at ...hopefully he grows into it!

 

This beer is the tits. Cool glass, also. ISO moar--probably my favorite Alpine.

 

haha, full disclosure: it took me until the 1:30ish mark when i saw your wife that i realized that was you. when i first started watching i thought it was going to be some funny, spoof-like video. my favorite line: "and in fact you are not just a (random pause) poop."

 

i absolutely love duet. i could drink that all day eryday. if anyone has access to simtra by knee deep, let me know. that is an amazing beer, too. had that tonight. you had that yet, hophead?

 

I have! Got it as an extra in a trade. A little too high in alcohol for my taste without a stronger body and/or hop finish, but I also can't be sure of how fresh it was (trader mentioned it was less than three weeks, and I assume he'd be honest on an extra).

As I wait for the shipper to arrive, I've put together the first 12 bottles to go out to my target. Of the picture I recently posted, I've decided to send two out of the four. The rest of the bottles are either wants, style wants, and a few of WTF I wanted to send. One of the bottles was replaced by two cans, one of which is a want and the other which is a style want. I'll post later on today once I ship out to my target.

 

Shipper has arrived. Packing box now and will be sending out within an hour or so.

 

Let the games begin!!

 

Package has left the building and will arrive on my target's doorstep on Monday, September 16.

Just to recap the rules (this will be the reference post from here on out):

• The first shipper (me) will send out a box with 12 bottles in a 12 bottle shipper.
  • In keeping with SWTFYW, these bottles can be a variety of bottles, shelf turds, whaelz, or anything in between.
  • The bottles must be between 12oz to 22oz (Seven-Fifties will fall in this range too). If sending cans, stack them 2 high in one spot. Cans only count as one bottle.
• When you receive the box, select 6 of the 12 bottles or cans in the shipper to keep.
  • Post a picture of all 12 bottles/cans. Do not let us know which ones you are taking.
  • Replace the six you took with six new ones.
  • This is SWTFYW. While you can SWTFYW, don't forget about beer karma.
• If a piece of swag is included in the box and you want to take it, go for it but make sure you replace it with another piece of swag.
  • If you decide not to take it, that's fine too. The next person in line has the option of taking it.
• A list of targets will be included in the box. When you receive the box, please select a target at random from the list, cross them off the target list, and ship the box to your selected target.
  • As some participants want to be later down the list, please try to keep this in mind (their names will be annotated on the list).
• After you receive your box, please do all you can to replace and send out the box to the next target within a weeks timeframe. If you are having trouble meeting this timeline, just shoot me a message or let everyone in the thread now via post.
• The first sender (me) will be the last in line to be a target and receive the box.

Man, after hearing the first box, I've gone full range of emotions from wanting to be later to wanting to be first.

 

Glad you liked it! Of the core 3, it's my least favorite so bottles usually make their way out as extras. Won't be down that way until after the wedding, but I'll hit you up when I do go.

 

could I possibly switch to an earlier timeframe? Two reasons: (1) I am already getting buried in my 2nd year of grad school, and (2) I have a metric buttload of awesome beer that isn't going to drink itself.

 

Don't see why not. Box has been shipped already so list will have to be updated when it gets to its destination.
