I am sure this has been posted before, however . . . a friend is going on vacation to S.C. next week. They have kindly offered to bring me back some brews I can't get here in Chicago. I know I definitely want Terrapin, but what else can I ask for that won't be too hard for them to find? Weyerbacher? Cigar City? Any advice you all have would be appreciated.

You'll find plenty of Weyerbacher, no Cigar City. Have your friend pick up some Westbrook and COAST if they can find it.

If you're wondering about which breweries distribute to SC specifically, you can compare the state's distribution with Illinois here: www.seekabrew.com

I am not quite sure what part of the state she's going to, other than she's visiting her son in college. I used seekabrew to get an idea of what to look for. It's a great resource, but I doesn't elaborate on how limited some brews are. (Cigar City) That is why I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask you all. It also hast to be beers that can be picked up at a store. Thanks everybody.

COAST, Westbrook, are your main two from here. You won't find CCB here, maybe Allagash if you don't get it up in your area.

Ah, ok. Like others are saying, COAST & Westbrook, but was going to suggest hitting the actual brewery if she was coming to Charleston. COAST tapped the BA (Blantons) Blackbeerd last Sat, not sure if they'll have any today (same goes for Boy King) for growler fills, but bottles of Hopart are $6 there in addition to other seasonals. Westbrook just bottled the #4 Bearded Farmer Saison, then there's Gose which is my crack. She could also hit up Charleston Beer Exchange which is bottle heaven...

Some good suggestions about SC beers above, but your list should include a broader range from the Carolinas and GA. I agree with your idea of retrieving Terrapin, but some fine NC beers here too; Foothills, Highlands, and several others are easy to find, even in some grocery stores.
