Founders Breakfast Stout

Geez, their own website contradicts themselves!! LOL Well, hopefully soon it will get to the distributor who comes to my city. It is weird because I am only 45 minutes from Founders!! You would think that it would be at my store already!! UGH

 

They did plan to move to 6pks, but then had to revert to 4pks due to changes in production of other beers. There's info here on BA regarding the specifics, as well as a more thorough explanation on the Founders website.

Not really a contradiction, just a change in plans. It happens. Yeah, it sucks.

 

I just want to get it and start drinking it!! LOL It sucks that they are closed still. I would just drive down there and get it right from the source!! Will stop in during Art Prize though.

To all BA folks in SE Mass and RI....while we wait for our 2013 FBS you can travel to Doherty's in Pawtucket RI and enjoy it on tap . They have been pouring it for 3 weeks ....2012 kegs they cellared till now.

 

Really nice that most of west michigan hasn't seen this yet.. it's at some place but no where near holland

 

It was released on the east side just this week. I would think you'd see it very soon. Patience, grasshopper.

 

I talked with the Alliance rep on Sept. 12 from Alliance Beverage Distributing Company that comes my local liquor store here on the west side of the state and he said that he got an email the other day saying that Founders Breakfast Stout is being released early than what they were told, which is going to be Monday, September 16, because other distributors who deliver to Detroit and Kalamazoo areas and other states distributed it way too early. So, Monday we should be able to get it. There are also no limits according to the rep. I have a case on order at my local liquor store where I talked to the rep at. It's pretty sad that I am 40 minutes from Founders and it hasn't been released here. Also, I can't get it from Founders because they are closed until the 16th for construction!! West Michigan got screwed!!!

 

How'd you get screwed, exactly? You're getting a case this week.

I am relaxed just frustrated with our distributor.

 

I called alliance yesterday and they said two places in skitown had it.. called and they both said nope..

 

I am thinking that alliance is worthless!!

 

Here in Kzoo its all over the place, just enjoying my first one of the year as we speak and its heavenly, the coffee notes really shine through when its this fresh!

 

I should have my case tomorrow if Alliance delivers it. Not holding my breath...lol
