For those of you on Kauai, or visiting, Kauai Island Brewery is now open. They are located near Port Allen in Ele'ele. Haven't been there yet, but I definitely plan on supporting them as they are the only brewery on the Island.

Awesome place. Ahi poke with the Capitan Cook IPA is legitimate nirvana.

I went there this past weekend. I really enjoyed the Captain Cook Ipa. The service was great and the food pretty good too.

Just left Kauai Island Brewery and Grill after a day exploring Waimea Canyon. Beer was, as stated before, surprisingly well done. I had the flight and tried the NaPali Pale Ale, Captain Cook's IPA, Pakala Porter and Cane Fire Red.
Pale ale was fantastic. If it were available on the mainland it might replace Dales Pale Ale as my go-to. IPA was great, porter very well done and red was classic.
On the above recommendation, I had the Ahi Poké along with the Pale Ale and it was indeed nirvana. The tuna was so fresh and it paired perfectly. Great spot for beer geeks and totally unexpected. They also do growlers so if I am ever back on Kauai I'm hitting this place up first for a growler or two.

    Thanks BA for the suggestions.

I was in Kauai a few weeks ago, but unfortunately any trips to the west side of the island were nixed by the rest of the family. I had to settle for 4-packs of Maui Coconut Porter. Could have been worse.

The Feral Pig is a pretty good restaurant. They occasionally get some good beers on tap. Had Deschutes Black Butte xxv a few weeks ago and the Feral Burger, not on the menu, is quite good. Kalapaki Joes is another decent option. They have a good tap list, for Kauai, and pretty good happy hour menu. Not much here in terms of beer, but the Kauai Island Brewery is worth checking out and soon the Kauai Beer Co. will be open too.

Feral Pig is amazing! Loved their food when I was there, and the beer selection was best I could find. Granted they had a few more limited releases on draft at the time which helped.

Nice. When I was there in '11 it was pretty much a beer wasteland so anything is an improvement.

    Watch out for velociraptors.

I'm staying at the Lawai Beach Resort, 19th-25th

Also, I went kayaking up the Wailua River last time I was there, then we hiked to a waterfall, it was pretty awesome, I would recommend that.
