According to an email from the fine ale club bloke.

    16th September - "1966 Strong Ale"

In Early October - "Imperial Stout" (with highest ever abv)

Looking forward to trying them both personally, if the previous efforts are anything to go by.

    Excellent

Past Masters beers have been good, Fullers tread a good line between traditional brewer with tied estate and making interesting brews that most people have never tried before. Even if they do a bunch of fairly boring seasonals they still put out some excellent brews

The Imperial Stout has already been released. Unless I imagined drinking it.

Maybe you got it earlier because you're a big impressive researcher dude. Tbh would have thought you would have been involved in the planning of the beers.

You're not thinking of the Double Stout though?

Will they be relatively widely available or only available to Fuller's groupies?

The Fullers shop and in their major London pubs I think. I've got my past masters before in the Mad Bishop and Bear in Paddington. Will try and get some 1966 Strong Ale when I pass through on the 18th, let me know if you want to continue our annual trade thingy

No, definitely the Imperial Stout. It was one of the beers served at the British Guild of Beer Writers 12th anniversary bash about a month back.

I was involved with the 1966 Strong Ale. The Imperial Stout was a collaboration with Melissa Cole.

Well that definitely means It's been released to the public... :stuck_out_tongue:

You forget, us plebs need to wait until it goes into the shops - October.

Still stands though, released in shops in October. Unless you want to ring up the brewery and complain to them.

Broke into the Fullers premises and drank the imperial stout straight out of the conditioning tank so it's obviously been released.

I'll be traveling to London in the middle of October. Any chance either of these will still be around? I don't know how quickly these sell out.

I'd love to try either, especially the stout.

Almost certainly will be available. The Parcel Yard at Kings Cross would be as good a place as any to find it but many Fullers pubs will have it.

Though if you're in London for a while the Fullers brewery and shop is always a decent place to visit.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to go too far off topic, but Fuller's pubs generally only serve Fuller's, correct? I saw on the comprehensive "Visiting London" thread that there's a pub near my hotel called The Churchill Arms and their website seems to only feature Fuller's beers. I plan to go there, so that should allow me to knock a lot of the Fuller's beers off of my Must Try list?

    Thanks all.

It's what's called a tied house - a pub owned by Fullers and selling their beers.

The Churchill Arms is a great pub, well worth visiting.

They also usually serve guest beers, depending on the size of the pub. Usually doom bar, or st austell tribute or something along those lines.
