Just got back from my annual Staghorn Wisconsin run and Imperial Weizen is indeed in-stock at Woodman's Kenosha.
Straw-barb took some hunting and Wild Sour is nowhere to be found - just a heads up in case anyone is hoping to luck out.

Also, I'm not from Illinois but I am quite the bastard. So I'll call myself a "Fucking Illinois Residing, Actually a Mainer, Bastard", or "FIRAAMB"... for all you Wiscy Dicks.

No one really cares about people coming here to get our great New Glarus Nectar..... New Glarus always brews enough for everyone! They do not try to make a beer "rare". Even Wild Sour Ale lasted for almost a month... That is by far the quickest sell out of a Thumbprint beer I have seen in some time. The quality of that beer and the price it should have been gone before it even hit the shelves.

Truth you do speak. I'va had multiple cashiers at Woodman's tell me they "love (you) Chicago guys cause you buy so much beer!"

    Nah, it's nothing like DM.
I LOOOOOVE Dancing Man, but I really disliked the Imperial Weizen last time around.

As mentioned above, it's more like Crack'd Wheat (which I also was not a fan of).

But, like you, I'm looking forward to another go. I had it plenty fresh last time around, but every batch is different, and with the right mood, I could like it.

Also, IIRC, it aged pretty well. I had kept one for a year or two in the back of the fridge, and I think I liked it more....or it was worse...crap....I can't remember, hahah

Edit: Also, not at Discount at the moment. They're usually the first ones in the Milwaukee area to get stuff...

Took a trip up to Brighton Woods Orchards today. Stopped off at Woodmans on the way back to get some of this. It's a beast of a beer. Thick and rich with tons of flavor. So well balanced, I would never guess the ABV is over 9%. Well done, Dan.

Got a couple 4packs just over the border at Happy House in Beloit ... which also has a drive-through

There are so many flavors in this. Tonight it was like a citrus bomb. Last night it was more wheat, yeast, clove, citrus in the back. Very unique beer.

Just cracked my first bottle - this is a well made beer with tons of flavor. At first I had hoped it would be around during the summer but actually this will be an awesome fall beer.

My god this is a massive wheat bomb. A little much for my liking. I'd rather stick with Dancing Man. A little better balanced IMO.

I sincerely doubt that the word "balanced" ever crossed Dan's mind when he brewed this!

It took me almost an hour to put down a bottle of this. I mean that in a good way.

This is something very special going on here. Perfect timing as well, all other fall seasonal's will take a back seat as this one is an extrordinary offering in this time of "horns of plenty". Good times ahead, Good times behind.

I meant to ask you about your avatar. Do you know if LFB going to make the Local Acre wet hop again this year, because I'd like to give it a try?

Atomic, where are you located? I will be crossing the border this weekend to pick up an assortment of NG beers. If you are close to me I could grab you some.

I live in Lincoln Square area, but work in Skokie. Also I'm mobile and have a pretty flexible schedule.
