Thunderhead Goldenfrau. Smooth and delicious. 7.5 abv bit you would never know it. There is hope in the cornhusker state!

Hard to hide the booziness in a stout IMO, that takes some skill IMO to work it in, easier to hide it behind a ton of hops and bitter in a DIPA. So I'd say between the Bruery brews and BC, they do a damn good job at hiding the high ABV. Bourbon hot on the palate doesn't = booze IMO. Foothills stuff is all hot on the Bourbon, but the ABV is under 10%, Bourbon is a flavor like vanilla, and oak.

I thought the Bruery's Smoking Wood drank incredibly smooth. Didn't anticipate polishing off the bomber, but I didn't have much trouble

Schneider Aventinus tastes like it's about 5 percent rather than over 8.
Black Albert is pretty damn smooth for 13 percent

It doesn't take much skill to hide 8-10% ABV in a big DIPA. Hiding 15-19% Abv in a stout takes some real skill.

W00tstout 13%. Didn't notice it too much for being that high. Also, most belgian beers hide the alcohol taste well. Especially kasteel donker. It's 11% and i couldn't taste the alcohol
