September 17, 2013 Update

This week we adding three new beers to ongoing series and one beer making a grand re-entrance.

Pastrami on Rye, everyone's favorite sandwich in liquid form, is back! We brew this strong dark ale with two different kinds of rye malt and copious amounts of cherrywood smoked malt. We steep all of the spices used to cure pastrami (Tellicherry black peppercorns, mustard seed, coriander, red pepper flake, allspice berries, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, cloves, dry ginger and caraway) in the boiling wort. $9.99, 22oz, 8.5% ABV

Australian Summer Ninja is the newest entry to the Ninja IIPA series. We loaded this mother up with a new Southern Hemisphere hop called (oddly enough) Australian Summer. This hop lends lush fruit notes of apricot, mango and melon as well as herbaceous notes of black tea, lemon peel and pine. Drink Fresh. Drink Often. $10.99, 22 oz, 9.5% ABV

Another one of our ongoing style driven series is getting a new addition this week. Poivre Vert is the latest member of the peppercorn saison family. This bone dry saison is brewed with green peppercorns, celery seed and the juice of 120 pounds of cucumbers. These additions create a beer that has incredible depth and complexity while remaining extremely well balanced and endlessly refreshing. $9.99, 750ml, 7% ABV

Finally the Abduction Imperial Stout series gets a new brother. We took Abduction, added 225 lbs of Oregon tart cherry puree, cacao nibs and vanilla beans to create Cherry Truffle Abduction. This rich, creamy beer has bright, fruity cherry notes in perfect concert with dark chocolate and complex malt character. $12.99, 750ml, 11% ABV

Pastrami on Rye, Australian Summer Ninja and Poivre Vert are available for pick up at Binny's Lincoln Park and West Lakeview Liquors immediately. Cherry Truffle will be available tomorrow (9/18).
