There shouldn't have been anything like that. Greene King are excellent brewers in the technical sense though IMO their beers are somewhat dull and samey. To my knowledge their beers aren't bottle conditioned so they should be crystal clear.
It means a faulty bottle. Contact GK or the importer.

Hen's Tooth is bottle conditioned, but not Old Golden Hen. Crap. Thanks.

I believe ol' Fred was dead by the time High Life hit the shelves in 1903 or so, clear bottles and all, wasn't he?

Yes, Fred was dead. But on his deathbed in 1870 he predicted the advent of the clear bottle. At that time he also predicted the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and the War of 1812. He was thinking clear but not clearly.

    Got it.

So, not just "High Life" but "High Death", too?

(Was this all in that short film they show during new employee orientation?)

You probably do not hear about many cases of skunking because the skies are so often overcast not allowing much sun exposure.

The one Innis and Gunn bottle I ever tried was a light struck drainpour. I never bought any bottles from them since.

While its often the case that the skies are overcast, it also turns out that the UK is so much further North than the bulk of the US that there is greatly diminished UV in the sunlight hitting the earth even when the skies are clear. The amount of UV hitting the surface of the earth is infuenced by the angle of the sun and the amount of ozone in the Atmosphere between us and the sun (among other things). So the UV is some very large percentages less in the UK than in much of the US.

You serious? I quit drinking it because of how often it was skunky.

    I'm not
I've tried a load of real ales and haven't found one that I liked
If you could recommend some hoppy ones I'd be happy to try
I haven't found one that stands up to any of our own craft breweries
Mordue is around the corner from me and the only beer they make that I like is their rye ipa
I had meantimes ipa in the summer and felt it boring compared to the likes of torpedo eiap goose island ipa etc
Durhams real ales again don't appeal to me but their imperial stout is one of the best I've ever tasted
I like the big stouts and the big ipas and to me real ale doesn't bring any punch but again suggest a few and ill give them a spin

    I h
haven't got anything but I'm sure I could try to get something
How would trading go across the pond though
Wouldn't the cost of shipping and import duties be astronomical

It wouldn't for me. Not a trader, just a snarky responder.
We could however try to work out a person for person trade, as it seems you'd rather be here and I know I'd rather be there.
