I just checked with Upland... it's a typo from copy/editing off previous email confirmations. sorry folks, no surprise bottles waiting at pickup

I've got a set for you, but only because I've seen how helpful you are on BA and RB.

Ditto. Except I'm more than happy with the 2 bottles of each I'll be getting considering lots of people only got 1 or 2 of the 3 varieties since it sold out in seconds.

Anyone reading this want to trade a Blackberry for either a bottle of Persimmon (last year), Kiwi (last year), or Rasberry (this year). Assume nobody wants a Rasberry since it was the last to go today, but figured someone might want an extra bottle of Persimmon or Kiwi more than the Blackberry. Thanks if you can help.

Refreshed the reservation page constantly leading up to 12:00 until the page showed one of each style available which I instantly clicked on the registration link. All I got was a refreshed main reservation page showing Persimmon was gone and the other 2 available. Clicked the registration link again which just refreshed the main page again showing the Blackberry gone and only Raspberry available. Clicked the registration link multiple times trying to at least get a Raspberry but each time I could not get beyond the main reservation page until all were gone and "event sold out". The whole thing was done is less than a minute. I really don't understand how Eventbrite wouldn't allow me to follow through with the reservation process when there were bottles available. Is this typical for tickets and such through Eventbrite or did I f*ck up somehow?

It's typical for releases where demand outpaces supply. Things that make it worse:
    -Online signups
-Not having to pay at the point of reservation
-Not having to pick up bottles in person
-Length of time that people know about the signups

So I've never been to upland or got bottles online before, is there anything special going on over the pickup window at the brewery? Will they have any sours on tap? I'm planning on going the first day to pick up my bottles at the Bloomington location. Was sad to see the sour fest sold out after my plans for that weekend got scrapped. Any recommendations on bottle shops or other stops to hit up as well? I've heard some good things about sun king...

I am thinking they used the same format from the Gilgamesh release and someone forgot to edit the fonts... I doubt anyone is getting a Gilgamesh...

Yeah, I know some made it up to Wisconsin last year as well. Not sure how that works.

I don't remember anything like this for Gilgamesh, there weren't any kind of tickets, I just walked into the brewpub, showed them my ID, they found my name in a logbook, checked my name off and gave me my beers

here's what my Gilgamesh receipt looked like. I am assuming they used the same template this time for the reserve and the sour fest tickets... Bring your ID and all should be good IMO.

    Event details
Instructions for picking up your Gilgamesh:
    1. Bring yourself and your ID to our Bloomington Brew Pub or Indy Tasting Room (whichever you chose during registration) between February 1st and 22nd.
    2. Pay for your bottles, which are $25 + tax each.
    3. Gilgamesh is yours!
4.You can have a friend pick up your order for you, but he/she must present a photocopy of your ID.
*Remember, you cannot pick up your bottle of Sour Reserve from our Indy Tasting Room on Sundays, but you can at our Bloomington Brew Pub.

Well, I was busy at work and didn't check until 2:00, and there were people posting here just minutes before that talking about having gotten a reservation. So I didn't have anything else to go on. It was that fast, eh? I'm glad I got at least two bottles reserved when my wife and I bought our Sour Fest tickets.

Yep, shit was redick. I clicked right at noon and blackberry was already gone, then when I tried to click again, persimmon was gone. Decided to pass on Raspberry, cuz I still have a bottle from last time (I think).

I noticed the Gilgamesh thing, but apparently there were more copy errors. Looks like we'll all be getting a bottle of Sour Reserve too. This keeps getting better.

Nice! That will make up for the two bottles that some douchebag mail thief stole off of my porch. :grinning:

just in case anyone is taking the mention of gilgamesh or sour reserve in the email confirmation seriously... all typos! Bummer to hear about your bottles being ganked, though.
