2013 Surly Wet

Thanks BLB We sold out quick as everyone has been doing but wanted to give the heads up for anyone reading this.

 

No where near as good at last years...Taste's like a standard pale ale to me, similar to SN PA. Last year had a huge grapefruit punch and big tropical profile. I didn't have 2011, but Catfish's assessment is spot on.

 

My two packs are sitting in my fridge while I write a case-study thats due in a couple hours. Damn me and my procrastination!

 

I assume you mean beer drinking procrastination....

I was able to get 2 quads yesterday at France 44. It was going fast!

As others have mentioned, it is definitely different than last years version, but I don't think that makes it any less enjoyable. I really enjoyed the brightness and bite of last years. This year, it seems a bit more danky and complex. Reminded me a bit of 3 Floyd's Permanent Funeral.

Quite enjoyable and still a 5/5 IMO.

For (1) this is a fairly limited release of a beer that involves truck chasing if you're in the cities and (2) I don't know why you would trade it away with these average ISO:FT posts at best.

Disclosure: It's my second favorite IPA behind Heady Topper. Definitely better than Pliny, Sculpin, Elevated, and Hopslam while Golden Nugget is a close third. Treat this beer as a novelty since it only comes out ~once a year!

 

Lots of places still haven't gotten it. Continue to watch this space.

 

Duh.....Saga is better than everything else at that pricepoint. 11 bucks for a 12 pack YES PLEASE! If only it was in cans
