What is your IPA?

    I have not found it yet and I doubt I ever will.

    But you bet you ass I'll never stop searching. That is what truly draws me to craft beer...the neverending search for something better.

    Two locals have recently been battling for the title since they became readily available- canned Wachusett Larry and Newburyport Green Head. This is a wonderful development.

    If we're talking all types of IPAs, my favorites are currently DIPAs:

    Navaja (Half Acre)
    IIPA (New Glarus)

    If we're just talking IPA/APA:

    Alpha King (FFF)
    Beer Hates Astronauts (Half Acre)

    I used to be a regular consumer of
    60 Minute (for a milder IPA)
    and
    Stone IPA (for a real snappy one)
    when I had good access to them.

    I love any IPA that has a citrus or floral taste to them.

    Ithaca Flower Power
    Ryujin Shozu Ozeno Yukidoke
    Troegs Nugget Nector
    Green Flash West Coast

    Plenty of others I can't think of at the moment.

    I liked Hop Stoopid better than Pliny.

    The best I've ever had would be either Heady Topper or Knee Deep Simtra, although they're in a different league.
