If you'll be in Burnsville, Blue Max Liquors is a must stop bottle shop. One of the best in the Twin Cities.

Hit Blue Max in Burnsville and Zips in MPLS, unless you come out to the West Metro side, where I would also recommend Four Firkins and France 44. Also, I used to hit this area for years before moving here, so be prepared to see a lot that is distributed in MN, beyond what is brewed here. This is a great distribution hub for the MidWest, so be prepared to have to pick and choose what you can haul back.

If you are going thru Des Moines, I'd love a 4 pack of Surly Wet, and Surly Fest. I've got a Bourbon County Cherry Rye I'd part with. Could also throw in an Enjoy by 9-13-13.

Yes it is. I was really surprised it didn't disappear at midnight. I drank one on the 14th. Just wasn't the same.

I'd also say to hit Haskell's downtown and north loop wine and spirits in Minneapolis. Both downtown locations should have good beer options. Republic is next to town hall brewery and they have a nice tap list.

Your best bet is probably Indeed. Solid regular rotation beers, always have multiple unique casks and they currently have one of the nicest MN tasting rooms.

Fantastic as my hotel is right next to Town Hall. Do they have any specialties right now? Their site is quite limited.

Next week is Autumn Beer Review week so there are events going on all over town. Check out the thread about it.

Also, Acadia Cafe, and the Blue Nile are within walking distance of Town Hall.

Hit up Casanova's on the way into Minnesota. They have Pseudo Sue on draft.

Head into Mineapolis, stop at Zipps right off 94, then Town Hall or Republic for dinner/beers. Then hit up Surly, Indeed, and I'd go north up to Hammerheart...worth the drive.

If you are heading north I would think pour decisions wouldn't be far out of your way. They don't get the hype that others do, but they are my favorite place in town.

I called THB and for specialties they have a Summer Wheat, an American Blond Ale, a Hoppy Amber Ale, and a German Pale Ale.
