Right let's see what these Crafty Dan's
Let's take a step down from stout and have their brown

It promised a full on taste as big as the chimes of the bell tower of westminster
It just about provides the slightest bit more flavour than Newkie Broon

Well straying off the dark (beer) path was a mistake
so back on it for the last ale of the night
    Zombier, Fyne Breweries undead porter.

Is Zombier any good? I've seen it in my local shop....

I've had an Elsie Mo and am currently imbibing Arbor's Hoptical Delusion II.

That the pale ale straight from the fv? If so I loved that one, could drink several gallons of the stuff.

Yup, though I accidently let this hang around too long. Hops have faded somewhat (but still good).

Yeah I had it in February and it was amazing then. Possibly fresh as Bristol is so close to Cardiff.

I like Zombier, not had it in a while but a new rock bar here promises to have it on tap for the forseeable so I might go along to check the bar out

Currently on Arran Brewery Dug IPA.

More of a pale ale in terms of hoppyness and bitterness and not a good one, nasty metallic taste.

Arran get far too much coverage for the beers they produce, at least up here. I guess Gerald Michaluk has a lot of mates in the media

The Zombier is good stuff, well worth a try.
I bet I am not saying that about this bottle of Salisbury Brewery Sarum IPA
I mean it says 'Fine Cask Ale' on the label
is this to hoodwink well intentioned spouses/Children/Siblings of real ale drinkers when they are out and about and thinking of getting the beer drinker a treat????

In all fairness The Salisbury Sarum was worth the trip, queue and one fifty I paid, which is quite a bit there, |
from B and Ms a definite hop edge there.

Opening the Crafty Dan Triple C
to see if its a hop increase from the Sarum and if it's an improvement on the standard Twat's offering

The Big Ben Brown Ale was a big disappointment
okay it was a so so Brown ale but it promised big flavours on the bottle
which made it seem it was farting higher than it's own arse.

This CD Triple C is okay, a marked improvement on the standard Thwaites
which just about creeps over the three out of five score
where as this CD version is hovering around the four mark.

I quite like their normal mild and porter, pretty solid beers for what they are

Onto Hardknott Infrared IPA. I had high hopes for this but am sadly let down so far- overcarbonated, alcohol evident despite being only 6.2% and a bit bitter with little flavour either in the way of malt or hops. It's pretty poor. Bad bottle maybe?

The mild is good stuff, the bitter on cask is a worthy way to start a good nights drinking and like you said the Old Dan used to be a favourite at a place me and my dad had to frequent and only had keg beer.

Like you said their porter is a also decent
talking of porter, opening bottle of Hoogstraten poorter which is housed in a very fancy container
well even if the beer isn't much the missus is looking forward to having the ceramic bottle.

Had my first sampling of Siren beer today, not too shabby at all. Also managed to pick up a Cool As A Cucumber, which should be interesting. Sent off a couple of beery packages, and heard that there will also be a Waen brewery bar opening in Cardiff soon. So in a few months we might have Waen, Tiny Rebel and Brewdog, hooray!

This Poorter was a big outlay
possibly the most I've spent on one singular bottle though probably not by content
and to be brutally honest it has been just above well barely above average

I wonder if either Struise Tsjeese Reserva or Brewdog Watt Dickie could rescue another so so beer night

I quite liked the Ghost Ship definite nod to the new world of brewing
and the Mocha basically does what it says on the tin, coffee and chocolate lol
