But with the amount most of us buy, 2 dollars on every 4 pack/bomber/sixer of whatever if you only buy one thing a week is 100 bucks on the year. If you buy more it is more.

I think the bigger problem is why pay 18 when down the street has it for 15? If everywhere had it for 18 then ok, but I'll bypass a place with higher prices for the same product.

That was exactly my point. Paid $15.99 for my quad at France 44, see Wet again at MGM and it's $17.99. $2 isn't going to break the bank, it's more about not wanting to enable a store that is deliberately marking up their beer beyond what is "reasonable" (see also: Surdyks) I'm not getting worked up over it, I just won't bother to go out of my way to shop there again.

The money you spend on a beer should not affect your opinions of the beer
Economics 101. Sunk Cost. You have already purchased the product and can't get your money back. Once you buy the beer your monetary input should have no affect on your thoughts of the actual product. it can however affect future situations I.e. I won't buy this beer again at $16

Sunk costs also tells us drain pouring an expensive beer is ok

Just my two cents. Get it, economic joke

Note to self: please never refer to a 4pk as a quad.

This year is better than last year in my opinion. That's all.

It's great, you have to let it warm up a bit to get the really dank wetness.

Drank one after work and just cracked another. No offense to the Surly camp, but I'm not liking this years Wet very much.

OK Spock. I never understood how you humans can form opinions.....illogical

Talking about opinions and economics in the same sentence is flawed.
Now, back to the saga 12pk at 10.99 discussion!

After 2 cans yesterday and 2 cans today I have to say, it's growing on me. First impression not good but now I'm finding some nice highlights. Earthy, grassy and resinous.

That being said, and I know they use a form statement on the can and don't change it year-by-year, but I wouldn't classify this as a west coast IPA. Tastes very European to me with the spice and earthiness. Almost like a Euro IIPA.

Finally tried it tonight at the taproom. Not a fan of this one. Glad I passed on the hunt for cans.

However, "you're in trouble," misanthrope, and pentagram (unblended) more than made up for it! All were top notch!

EDIT: and now I am home, drinking a day tripper. I can't get enough of this! $9-10 a six pack?? This must be where the hops destined for WET ended up...
